Need WiFi software to detect the band

But my Apple TV and my Apple Extreme router are different rooms. Use 2.4 GHZ. I can watch XMBC movies and streaming movies from VLC via AirPlay from my MacBook Pro.

Use 5 GHz will give clear crystal HD if you use streaming between Apple TV and computer.

I took Apple TV to living room in lower floor and my room is in upper floor, so I still got strong signal on 5 GHz and streaming the movie flawlessly.

My ASUS router has powerful reception.

AirPlay? I tried and it lagged a lot.

Yes, lagged at a little or not. If streaming video lags a lot, use HDMI cable to connect HDTV somedays.

Read troubleshooting AirPlay about lagging.

Troubleshooting AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring

Video lagged so worse when using MW to cook popcorn.

In bold - make sense because 2.4 GHz has interference issue and try change the channel if it is help.

I use Linksys E2500 had dual-band 2.4 & 5 GHz. No lag from iPhone 5, iPad 2 to my Apple TV as AirPlay mirroring.

But, I have not try unplug internet cable and Will try use Wi-Fi access later.

No, you didn't type a complete sentence or more specific. I have no idea about what are you asking and I tried to answer twice.

Then figure it out and thinking hard next time. My question was for JMH. Why you jumped it? My question was not for you. I am not in mood to type a complete sentence via my iPhone.

Also you still jumped me again even I was QUOTE to JMH for thank you to answered my quesiton and you just insulted my English.

It is not necessary to jump down to someone who was not quote for you.

I'm not insulting your English and and I'm not concerned about your English. It is obviously nothing with English. I advised you to make more specify or make a complete sentence if you can, so I could answer correctly.

I got new Beamer for AirPlay movies on Apple TV in using my MacBook Pro. Amazing! clear movies w/ subtitles!! No video lagging. Better than VLC and DivX players. Beamer costs $15. Not so bad. You try it out if having your own MacBook. Beamer - The AirPlay Movie Player for Mac

Next Gen Apple TV (4) may be released soon with 802.11ac support? 802.11ac enables significantly faster transfer speeds than 802.11n. Games and video steaming reduce lag. I should buy new Apple AirPort Extreme or Netgear router which having 802.11ac but little expensive about $199.

I will find out after Apple event on Oct. 22.
