Mystery been solved to why zebras have stripes

According to the research is has to been black and white stripes. Maybe if can move I will have wallpaper with black and white stripes and curtains too to keep the bugs out of my home.

People do get white hairs from stress so maybe it could happen to zebras
too. There is a skunk that hang around my yard a lot at night and the skunk is mostly black , there very little white on it , maybe it lost is white stripes from all the stress of losing the field behind my condo. The bad thing it that it's hard to see a black skunk at night . Stinky !
 
White hair is also hereditary. My father had his started in early 20's and so did I. Wasn't aware stress can cause that as well. :hmm:
 
Stress can make it white. I have some random white hairs. Not aure if stress or that my dad has white hair since a young age.

Just don't blame him for becoming a cue ball. Baldness comes from the mother's side. :lol:

I heard of people going to bed with a head of dark hair and waking up with a
head full of white hair. Look at how fast out presidents hair turn white. Obama hair is getting very white.
 
I looked online and two articles I read said there's no proof of that. They say it's an old wives tale that stress causes white hair. White hair is caused by hair follicles losing color after awhile.
 
It is very interesting article. That is why I love Zebra stripes pattern. This is popular in style. :)
 
What about the tigers have two and three colors stripes? The tiger have an orange, black, white stripes. And other white tiger have a black and white stripes.

From what research is saying the black and white stripes have to do with where the zebras lives . I guess the flies bite very bad so nature gave the zebras the B&W stripes so they would not be bitten up so badly . We have greenhead flies out here and they carry a knife and fork around as least it feel that way when they bite you.

That is interesting. I am surprising it will not be bite. I have a link for you to read. It was two years ago. BBC Nature - Zebra stripes evolved to keep biting flies at bay
