Thank You, Everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
Boy, I am exhausted after driving for 4 hours one way and another 4 hours today coming back to home.
It was a little bit crazy because my aunts/uncles and some of my cousins including myself were trying to scramble around to find an interpreter at the last minute for the funeral service. As you know, it is quite hard to find an interpreter at the last minute, especially when a funeral arises. Luckily, I had thought of a friend who I knew lived in Indiana and he referred me to an interpreter. After making the call to the interpreter who was referred by my friend, She (the terp) was more than glad to do it. So, yeah, we were relieved for the interpreter to come at the last minute. At first, it was meant to be for a donation (by all of us chipping in for the costs) but however, my dad stepped in and he was willing to cover all the costs. Whew. In the end it worked out well with the terp situation.
The funeral went smoothly. The only down side of this was the weather. It was raining cats and dogs but we all didn't mind the weather. We all wore black with lime green (since it's my uncle's favorite color) and there were 7 red roses which symbolizes for each sibling and 16 white roses for each nieces and nephews. They had a marine style funeral with veterans from under his command. They also had a 21 gun salute for the funeral.
Rest In Peace, Uncle Harold. I'll always remember you and carry you in my heart. May God be with you.
