Just for me, and me alone, I no longer wear my aid. After being such a whiny late - deafie I found that being DEAF suited me just fine! I went in to work one day very recently and told the boss that my right ear was completely dead and that what little the left aid did while set to "stun" sounded like a horrible am radio station at 1/4 volume. I would not buy another aid and would no longer wear the ones I have just to please her.
Whaaaa-hahaa! It's now on the security camera. She blinked, paused, opened her mouth, closed her mouth and then said..... uh.. ok!
So for me - no CI, (even if I was eligible) not a baha, no more ha's. Nope! I like DEAF!
