Blog #3 Part I

Hello all,

I am tired right now, but I am going to do my best to blog today's post. Today is Thursday, and my cousin has to go to work, so I went to Kings Park again and took some photos, yes, you guessed it, been playing with the camera since I purchased it, it has been an bueaty. Then I walked to the City, went to Swan bell tower, bought a postcard of "Perth City" near that area for 50c. Went to the cinemas, and bought a ticket for 1:00pm showing of "Die Hard 4.0".

Went to grab some lunch at Subway, yum and went for a walk, stopped by at the post office to pay my parking fines (3 parking fines back at home, two from work and one from Uni = $216 all together) and posted some things for a friend in America. And it was time to head back to the Cinemas, I watched 'Die Hard 4' - it was great. Will get it on DVD so I can watch it with Captions, and also will watch something on with captions in the city tomorrow.

Afterwards, went to the factory outlet store called 'Harbour Town" it was a nice big stores centre, but mostly of it was preparing to close so went and bought some pastry and some Pepsi......boring, I know. ;)

Went back to Kings Park, snapped some photos in the afternoon, with my camera, and it looked so much better, will post pictures later in the week.

Later, this evening, my cousin and her boys and I went to "Little Creatures" restuarant with my uncle and my cousin (*my other cousin's sister) and it was nice, I had some sort of a pizza, yum.

That is all for today, the little boys gone crazy and hyper on the way home, they are in bed now.

What a day.

Stay tuned for tomrorow's blog!

Night, all! ;)

Sound like you are getting about a bit in Perth. Yep, Kings Park have a very nice view of the city. If you go there at night, it is very nice with all the lights on everywhere. It is worth it.
That's good you went to the Bell tower. You must have seen the big blue and yellow tents nearby. That is Cirque Du Soleil is on there showing 'Varekai'. Hubby and I will go there in a few weeks time to see it. Did you see the black swans swimming about in the river? Black swan is the state's national emblem.
A movie you will see with captions on tomorrow night is 'The Bourne Ultimatum'. My hubby and I will go and see that on Sunday afternoon. I thought it was on last weekend but the deaf club sent out a list of movies with wrong date on it. I checked online from Media Access Aust for right date to make sure.
That good that you went to WADS and meet some people there. Yes I agree with you about Dawn and she is a lovely kind lady. I have known her for a very long time since when we were young from the Deaf school.
There is a nice place where you can go to. Ask your cousin to take you to the Hillary Boat harbour. It is nice to go for lunch there. It is always busy there. I am sure you will like it.
Anyway, enjoy your stay and have fun touring in Perth. ;)

Wow lovely pictures you got there. I would love to explore the prison you have visited. I wonder if it was haunted, lol. Did the prisioner painted the wall off some pictures on hand or books? Or just his own imagation. It is beautiful and almost as in perfection. He is an artist. What happened to him, do you know? I love the battlefield sites, do they got any in Perth?

I hope you enjoy your vacation as I did enjoy South Carolina. I drove 8 hours straight to North Carolina, my husband did 4 hours. (12 hours drive instead of 10 bec been stranded in little part of Allentown, worst in Philly's and little in Washington due to constructions...grrr....) We should have used the plane lol. The index in SC was 120 degrees but we got lovely time. SC had no rain for almost a month, but the rain had followed us all through down to SC from Pennsylvania. (We had rain almost all week and in the 40's - 60's in Pa. I thought we will never see the sun ever again. Even though I never felt we had any summer at all, lol) They were so happy to have a thunderstorm that night with pouring rain after a thunderstorm in NC at 5 am, my God I can't even see the lines on the road going 75-80 miles per hour so I ended up in NC rest stop and let my husband drive. I didn't have any sleep since 6 am the day before. They needed rain badly in SC. But still too dry afterward though. My brother stayed one more week, he said they got some rain at night which it was a relief, but rained all day when he left SC on friday.

The way home was perfect and calm-not a single traffic. I drove all the way through to Maryland, with only two stops. I know how the first two days are tiresome because of the excitement you have gone through. Sounds like you have done a lot of shopping in Perth as much I did in SC, lol. And alot of pictures too. I took 241 pictures. Looking forward to your update to this lovely trips.

Awesome! sound like you are enjoying it so far!

Yes, I love Perth already, Perth is a beautiful place and very clean. Easy to get around y'know?

That's good you went to the Bell tower. You must have seen the big blue and yellow tents nearby. That is Cirque Du Soleil is on there showing 'Varekai'. Hubby and I will go there in a few weeks time to see it.

Yeah, saw the bell tower yesterday, also the circus, I saw these, actually, they were in canberra few months ago. But didn't get the chance to attend though, heard that ticket are quite expensive?

Did you see the black swans swimming about in the river? Black swan is the state's national emblem.

I know that is the state emblem but no, have not seen them around, maybe today.

Correct, it is the move you mentioned, and I am watching it today, shall let you know if it is good. ;)

That good that you went to WADS and meet some people there. Yes I agree with you about Dawn and she is a lovely kind lady. I have known her for a very long time since when we were young from the Deaf school.

Really, didn't know that. Yeah, WADS is good place and I am having dinner with my cousin, Dudley, DH and PK tonight before we all head for the WADSRA (deaf community centre) to meet other deafies.

There is a nice place where you can go to. Ask your cousin to take you to the Hillary Boat harbour. It is nice to go for lunch there. It is always busy there. I am sure you will like it.

Maybe, but it is on the 'must to see list'

Sounds like you are having a great holiday! :) I haven't been to Perth but would love to drive there - it would be an epic journey though!

Blog #4, Part 1

I didn't update my blog for yesterday so here it is!

it was Friday, My cousin dropped me off to Perth Zoo, where I was inside for at least 2 hours, photography these cool animals I saw. It was great. After that, I went to the Jetty in South Perth, where I caught the ferry over the swan lake, but before that, while I was waiting, there was angry clouds all ove rthe city, and it just poured heavily, unfortauntely I didn't have an umbrella, I was drenched right away, completed wet me! :( So I ran under cover but it was not good enough... the rain was not straightforward, it was diagionally sleets with hail it came thundering at everyone who was trying to board the ferry, and the capitan of the ferry was trying to dock the ferry to satey, the man attempted a few times to get on with it. Terrible.

I went to the moveis when I arrived on the other side of the Swan River. I watched "No reservations" - It was not too bad, despite it has no captions... but easily understood to the scruture of the film. :)

After that, I caught the bus back to my cousins place, I was sick and tired of the clothes, which is terrible and sticky from the puring rain earlier. So I had a shower and got into comforable clothes. Waited for Dudley to pick me up later that night, his brother was driving so he and Dudley picked me up and drove me to North Bridge where Dudley and I had dinner with my cousin and two deaf people, it was great, we dined at "The Greek" in Northbridge - it was fantastic! I had Salmon Steak. WHen you are in Perth, AUstralia one day, I shall recommend you to this restaurant!

THen we all went to the WADRA ( WA Deaf Soceity Recreation Association), not much people were there, but a few people I met is cool, and two girls I knew from other city, which is Sydney of course. Had fun there chatting until half past eleven. That is all for the day! :D

Stay tuned for the next one! (Coming up!)

Blog #5, Part I

Finally, today is the latest blog!

Today, my aunt and uncle (my cousin's parents), took me around the Perth outskirts, while my cousin went to work to do assignments and stuff. They took me to Frementle again (Where the prison is located) but took me to the motomuseum which was excellent, plenty of old cars, and history things in the motor life. Then we went to Maritime Museum, even interesting, I saw the "Australian II" which won the american cup in 1983, so BIG! I even took photos.

Photos will be uploaded later, next week as all are in my new camera, I will have it uploaded once the set up is complete when I return home.

After series of fantastic shots at the museuems, we all went to ciscellas (I can't spell, but it is in Frementle, and near 'Little creatures' restaurant. They bought me Fish and chips for lunch, boy.. these food are excellent. I was told, that the food and the resuratant is one of my grandparent's favourite... no excuses expected! ;)

Then they took me to cottlesoe Beach, then scaroborough beach both are well known (correct me if I am wrong) and they are amazing, you could see the horizion and the island called 'rottnest island' where we will be going with my cousin tomorrow.

Then we all went to Hillary's - another nice place! We had coffee at Sorentos place. The coffee was late, my aunt and uncle was digusted due to the cold coffee but was satisfied when they gave them new ones. ;)

That is all for now,

stay tuned for Part 2 and Blog #6 tomorrow!

NOTE: Photos are uploaded next week. Sorry for the inconveince!

It would be an excellent trip, and possibility, I will do the same too!

Blog #6 - That's all Folks!

Finally, I am spending my final night in Perth! Here is the latest blog of Sunday and today's blog. Enjoy! ;)

It was fantastic weather for a sunday, 20 degrees celicuis tops in Perth, and we all went to the Rottnest Express in Frementle to catch the ferry to Rottnest Island - Picture below

Rottobyair.jpg

The island was so beautiful and I have enjoyed the most of the day there where we spend the whole day at the island near Perth. Once we caught the ferry, it was a 30 minute ride. We arrived and hired the bike for a whole day which was only $24.10 which was a excellent price for a day, but if you are staying for more than one day, best recommendation is to bring your own bike - only fee is $11 via ferry to the island. What a baragin!

So, my cousin and her parents (my aunt and uncle) and I went on a bike ride to the west side for a bit, and rode back to the bakery and bought some morning tea snacks, it was wonderful, weather was so warm, after that me and my cousin went on a 24km bike ride to the west end - the ride was fantastic, the island as you saw above is small, and it is mostly travelled on bike, as you would see it is everywhere, and rarely buses and cars. Wonderful! It took us about 1 and half hours to ride to the west end, which is the other side of the island, but an enjoyable journey under perfect weather! :D Photos will be displayed when I return back home

We finally arrived at the west end, took photos and it was beautiful views there, so we ride back in a different route... arrived there and we all had lunch, I had beer battered fish and chips, yum! Photos will be shown. The lunch was fantastic. While I was at the rottnest island, I saw some excellent animals, and one marsamal animal which only exists at the island. Wonderful. At the end of the day, we caught the ferry back to Perth. What a day! :D

At the end, we got home and we watched two movies before we went to bed, we watched "Disturbia" it was not so bad, it is a good one but unfortunately, the other movie was horrible, called "Rocky babola" it was a terrible and slow movie - Not recommended!

That was an enjoyable day, the best day so far :)

Blog #7

Finally, as I mentioned earlier, I am spending my final night in Perth, I am heading home tomorrow. In my own trip, it has been the best holiday I have ever had in a while, I love Perth. Today, I had a relaxing day, stayed local, stayed at home, chilled and went to the store, I bought some few things for the way home and some toys for my 2nd cousins, they are little boys, I bought for them as a little present to thank them for having me at their place, also I bought a box of chocolates for my cousin who looked after me, during my stay, overall of the trip, been fantastic, and I love Perth and I would love to move to Perth, one day! (it would be a possibitity!)

My cousin went to work, I babysat, my 2nd cousin, who is 3 years old, he went to sleep and I watched Dolittle 3, everything was good, and the weather outside was so beautiful full blue sky and sunshine and 23 degrees tops. I have found out that I have sunburnt my arms from yesterday's ride at rottnest island. (duh, oh well) in the afternoon after picking my outher 2nd cousin from school, we all went to ten pin bowling, it was great fun. We, went out for dinner with the whole family, which included my aunt and uncle and my other cousin, it was very casual dinner, food was great.

Now, right now, plan is for tomorrow is heading to more museums and then pack my bag and head out to the airport for my 11:40pm flight to Canberra, Australia. I am going home! It is the end of the blog, folks. Thank you for reading my blogs, it has been a pleaure for the readers to enjoy my trip and I shall recommend the people who has never been to Perth in Australia, I shall point you to Perth which is an fantastic city and the cleanest I have ever seen! ;)
