My spellcheck in my toolbar was not working and now it's no longer there! I just tried to download the spellcheck from here and it did not work. I really need my spellcheck and I hate calling for help ,I always get someone with an accent and if I tell them I am HOH they'll only YELL at me! How do I get my spellcheck back up?

I'm using chrome browser and I just fix one word at a time that is red scribbly underlined.

Same here though I didn't notice it was gone till you said something. I'll see what I can find out.

Thought this worked, but I get the error message I got yesterday. Plus the spellcheck disappeared again. :(

Spell check
The Spell check feature corrects spelling mistakes on forms, including web-based email messages, discussion forums, and even intranet web applications.

Enable or disable Spell check
1.Click the Toolbar's wrench icon.
2.On the Tools tab, select (or deselect) the 'Spell check' checkbox.
3.Click Save.
To automatically correct all spelling mistakes on a web form, click the down arrow next to the Spell check button, and click AutoFix.
Edit the Spell check dictionary
1.Click the Start menu on your computer's taskbar.
2.Select Run.
3.Enter the following text in the 'Open' field:
notepad "%HOMEPATH%\Application Data\Google\User Dictionary.txt"

4.Click OK.
If you've added words to the Toolbar's Spell check dictionary, a text file showing the words you've added will open. You can then edit or remove any words in this file. Once you've finished making changes, save the file by clicking the File menu and selecting Save.

If you haven't added words to the Spell check dictionary, you'll see an error message telling you that the file or folder can't be found. Check to confirm you haven't added words to your browser's dictionary instead.

Change your Spell check language
Click the Spell check button's drop-down menu and select a language from the Choose language menu. Alternatively, Spell check will automatically detect any of the languages below if you choose Autofix from the Choose language menu.

I was getting a pop up when I tried to use my spellcheck on my tool bar and I was told my 'spellcheck was not connected to the internet' and now my spellcheck in my toolbar is gone!
I use to get my misspell words underline red, but that has not happen in a long time. I been checking my spelling by using the search engine and that is a pain in the butt! I may asks my daughter to try and help call for me, but it's a drag getting put on hold forever. I had my computer worked on not too long ago but I think the guy did a horrible job. My son and law and daughter brought it to some guy and they paid for the repair. I was going to pay for but my daughter covered it for me. It may be time to buy a new computer, and I will not being buying a DELL again!

I don't think it's your computer. I think it's Google and/or the browser. The spellcheck, for me at least, was on the Google toolbar.

I got the same error message you got and then, like you, the button has disappeared. When I reinstate it, it gives me the error message and then disappears after a short time. :(

What/where is AllDeaf spellcheck?

Never noticed it. Looks like I have to download something from IE to use it. Since I'm at work, I'll decline, for now.

If you have a word processor, then maybe type your posts in it first, correct the spellings, then copy/paste to the forum. Just an idea.
