I'm considering getting this nice phone, and it seems to be on sale right now, and if it is, then I could just go and grab it tomorrow. Hmm.

This is another one I'm thinking about saving up for.

Which do you think is better? I'm looking for one with good VP quality, as the one I have now, Muve Music 2.3.6, doesn't have a lot of options for VP, other than Sorenson VRS ntouch mobile, which it works quite well with.

Advice?

Stop throwing away money on that phone and plan and just use wifi and a tablet.

Yes, there is a lot of WIFI around but it is not everywhere! One example I can think of when being able to connect via phone could be very important is in case of trouble out on the highway.

True. I am under the impression that OP does not travel that much so he could save some $$ by using wifi for a couple of years.

You don't have to go far or have something very drastic happen to need to use it. I am not at all sure that I have the strength to change of tire and that could happen simply between here and the next town.

He lives in Chicago. It's not the wilderness.

I use that method myself. It's not that long ago that people managed to walk around a few minutes without a phone.

Ok I live in a area of scattered small towns with farmland inbetween so that changes what I think of first. And I forgot to look back to see who started this and where they are.

Actually, I DO travel quite a bit, and I need a good quality phone for that.

But you never travel out of IL.

Correct. I travel within the city quite a bit, and sometimes I need to go out of town for a few hours, which is why a better quality phone is necessary.

Better quality phone for what?

VP use for one. Another would be better reception. Both of which aren't great on this phone.

Then get damn iPhone 5/5s or Android S3/S4. Nothing beat iPhone for VP and battery life which perfect for travel.

I actually might get the S3. Problem is, it'll take longer to save up for, though..
