my jeep has been robbed!!!!!!!

sheriff came here this morning while i was a work... my gf called me and said that the sheriff found a truck (u-haul box truck) full of people"s stuff that the thief stolen from us... we cant get it back for a week... hope i get my stuff back soon!! the thief was driving around.. someone called the police to check him out... luckly sheriff bust his ass before i did :giggle: i talked with my neighbor before going work yesterday.. he said his car radio was stolen too.. broke window just like mine... he was pissed too... the thief was stealing stuff where i live .. about 8 vehicle stuff was stolen... now i need to build a shop in back to park my precious jeep in!!!

That's good news that the cops found the truck :) I hope you can get your stuff back soon! :)
 
That's good news! My car was broken into once and tried to steal the CD player but he couldn't do it since it was stuck and he has a hard time getting it out, too bad for him! However, my neighboor, a few weeks later was walking to his car and somebody hit my neighboor in the head with a crowbar and stole his car and I saw him talking to the cop and he was bleeding from the head and he has blood all over his shirt which is scary!!!! Then a month later, I saw a moving van and I asked the neighboor why he is moving and he said that he is moving for the safety of his wife and children and I can't say that I blame him, he never got his honda back so he got another car and I move out of the apartment 3 months later.

Must be a tough CD player, I should buy it off you so no one couldn't bug for the CD player! :lol: (What if it was broken, it would be worthless for the thief)
 
I am sorry heard that how you feeling that!! This is remind me, This flash out past!:pissed: You not only one! My former husband's favorite sport car and cd radio with LOUD BASSS!!! When I was ready go sleepy. I gasped!! My former husband hot temper:mad2::pissed: He expressed facial :pissed: ROBBED HIS CAR!!! you re kidding?? He say serious!! I ran to outside, oh my gosh!!! no car there. I was scared myself because first time my life! :Ohno: He called the police. The few police stopped my former house. He reported it... Next morning Police told us that bad news! My former husband say what!!! He told us followed police's car where go there. He got mad and wondered where? My former and I clothes up. Then go followed police's car about 30 mins north. My former husband and I shocked guess what! His former car threw in river!!! Car TOTAL!!
My former husband and I was very pissed off!!! missed radio and 2 boxes in loud bass, tools etc....... He reported Ins car. My former husband bought other new a car.
Never buy radio loud bass again period!

Damn those thiefs.... as I said I have short temper... I'm nice guy but if those idiots messed with my truck and car.. They will wish they didn't do it... I did once caught one guy trying to sip out my truck gas tank to fill his red gas tank.. I tapped his soulder and said " do you need help" he was like oh... yeah I do need help.. My truck (which isn't his) won't start so I need gas to put in my another car...I told him " okay, I think you got the wrong truck since its my truck... when I said okay I grabbed his neck... my friend was with me.. He tried to tell me to cool it off... the guy ran off and left the red tank so I took with me lol

I talked to my gf and found that I Have To pay my stolen stuff when they are release... I'm really pissed off now since its wasn't my damn fault... anyone who experience get the stolen stuff and did pay for it?? I think its wrong to pay my stuff!!!!

yayaya the theif is found!!! But mine is nowhere to be found yet...He was probably drunk and drove and wreck our car because the bar is around the corner!!! So whoever got away with it.

I am so happy the police caught him before he makes tons of money. It reallys sucks that you have to pay to get your stuff back. That is unfair!!! Next time I would write my serial number, even model numbers etc...on every objects we buy and get a lawyerto get all the refund for it....even our vin number in case someone tries to steal it. Oh yeah people do steal your VIN numbers nowadays...

the catalystic converter... is that the part from the bottom of the vehicle??


Hope they'll find your thief. did you get your stuff back?

Yeah, it is located in the bottom of the vehicle.
 
I believe, but correct me if I am wrong (To Brother_Trucker), that the specific device is quite expensive and can be more than the price if the person who steals it sells for more than the usual price.

You notice that Brother_trucker has paid $840 for a new one? That might be the reason, also you might won't be able to drive the car without the catalystic converter.

BTW -- I am not 100% about this, I hope Brother_trucker can correct me.

i do recall if without a converter can mess up the ozone? it does make sense that its really expensive.

Even when you get your own place, copy seral numbers and everything you own like TV, Sterio, Waswh Mach, dryer, etc...anything is worth in your apt or house. I do that all the time, even all my 4 laptops, PC and 3 printers and a scanner. Insurance companies do keep it in their file in case of fires or misciefs.

I understand how you feeling that Remember Let God's hand count and sow them bad back someday. That's good you short hot temper. But my former husband always hot temper everytime if happened. I am happy It over now. Now, My sec husband is very humble and sweet. I never seen him hot temper since 11 yrs. LOL! You good caught it....
 
I had my catalystic converter stolen while my car was parked at a shopping centre. According to my mechanic, he said it is not an easy job to remove a catalystic converter. And, it would take between 30-45 minutes to remove using the right tools unless they cut it off.

Yeah, I think without the catalystic converter, your car would have increased emissions levels. And, it will certainly sounds a lot louder, like a V8 in my case. But, it will run like crap.

wow, they found the time to take the converter out in the parking lot and nobody saw it? People probably thought it was the "owner" trying to fix the car? its crazy cuz I've never heard people actually steal the converter and didn't realize how important it is to those people that steals it.

Yeah, I think people thought the owner was fixing his car. I don't understand why would they steal from a 17 year old car even though parts are easily available. If they installed a new converter, which would cost them ~$400, they would get better fuel economy, so ultimately they would save money anyway.
