Teacher, Scout Leader Charged With Sexual Misconduct

A Dodge Center teacher, Boy Scout leader and religious mentor has been charged with abusing three boys over the past two years. 58-year-old Richard Elliot, a science teacher at Triton High School, was charged Wednesday with nine counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Sexual abuse allegations arose when someone saw Elliot and a 14-year-old boy in a hotel hot tub. The boy was allegedly seen sitting on Elliot’s lap.

According to the criminal complaint, Elliot told investigators that he had inappropriate contact with the 14-year-old and two other boys.

Law enforcement officials say there may be more victims. Anyone with information about this investigation should call the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office at 507-635-6200.
 
OH man ms giglz mama annie THATS sucky! im sorry ur going thru this that's UNCALLED for in this situation... not blame u for that and how u are feeling I know that the situation that arises is the situation that rec'ds national attention and when that kind of peophile shows up at ur own daughter's school makes u wonder how u can trust any teachers and thier conducts it's a wonder WHY he ever got hired in the first place and how hes manage to findangle thier way into the boys lives or girls as well cuz molestation is a high risk at all factors especially in school! IM sorry ur going thru this at ur own daughter's school. its sad when this happens and where it happens but its also sick when it happens to someone close to u, im sure ur daughter knows the kid thats involved and im sure u all will pray and support the kid thru this endeavor.... :grouphug: to u mama annie and ur kids

Yeah, I have her for weekend.. she isnt really feeling good.. I stayed home and comfort her.. and took her out shopping and visit some friends.. things to do.. try to keep her mind off for weekend.. its hard..
whats more.. that school didnt know.. that teacher have been work in that school for more 20 years.. so he was fine before till happen recently.


also, the investigators cleaned out his office (in class).. and found more edviences.. total 6 trash bags.. filled with porns and computers, CD-disk,dvd,mp3.. name it all.. even file folders of each students.. he have fanasty and wrote down on some each boys even boys didnt knew.. eww!.. Also, more at his home, too.. plus he have wife and 2 kids (boy and girl)..so.. he will be serving from 25 years to life.. after additional more charges.. whats more there are 3 more boys havent come forward yet.. it will bump the charges to add..

it's never the young kids fault for the adult to do sick things, momma, u can IM me anytime u need to i ll be home durng the lunch hr as im going to do some work this morning at my bro in laws and sister's home for the building, then u can IM me and we can talk abt it if u want... just know this friend here loves u and ur family NO matter what! I'm so sorry to hear that. It must have been scary for both you and your daughter. I know it would be so scary for myself it it was to happen around my kids. I'm very glad that your daughter is alright though. :D

OMG Annie!!!!!!! {{{{{Annie}}}}} im glad that teacher got arrested for child molestation and found all the evidence against him -- he deserves being locked up and kept AWAY from the children -- im glad this was caught so early into the school year as opposed to later in the school year would have been even worse i imagine -- u are right -- its NOT ur daughter's fault at all! things will be better in time once the teacher is convicted and locked up (hopefully for life) and is kept away from the children

Gosh.. it is serious. Your kid's teacher deserves a prison time for child molestation. I wonder how the school hires teachers without screening fingerprints with FBI clearance? Before I am hired to intern at the Deaf school, I had my fingers printed with FBI clearance and filled out PPS teaching credential (of course plus TB shot). I wonder other schools do the same duties on new employees???

I am glad that your kid is safe though. My hearts go to the children whom he molested. I have no damn sympathies for molesters!! (sorry.. I have to blunt).

Yes almost school and Daycare do fingers printed and kind things> I was children worker and i do fingers printed .
 
yeah, he was working for school almost more than 20 years.. so I assume that the school thinks hes fine.. whats more he have wife and 2 kids.. anyhow he started doing that couple years ago.. so.. maybe thats why they trusted him..

he's still wrong to do this thats a surefire sign he needs severe help, and still NO excuse, ur daughter's safety is a protcol, same for ur kids school and thier future too!
 
Yeah.. Some of Cases who Teacher attempt sexual molesting or sexual active to younger children and teenagers..

Teacher who had done that way ...... Goes belong to behind the bars!!!

I really againist that who did hurting the innocent children..

It's always sickening when I hear about sex harrassment, sexual assault and so forth, happening at schools or churches. All the people -- teachers, priests, nurses, doctors and etc etc..all we trusted with our lives and our children -- just don't understand why it happens. It's so intolerable in the society.
At least, the law's still trying to curb the problem -- just wish the problem'd stop...*sigh* This is the type of world and life we are living today. :|
 
UPdate : My daughter is doing good.. hang in there.. they have alot of good supports in that school.. students show support each other.. and counseling too.. they had some talks and presentations.. they are lucky that they have excenellet principal!!.. he have so much creative and great mind to help and support others..

:dance: She is coming home next weekend.. and again weekend next.. to spend time with us for halloween!!.. she is exiciting because here have alot candies than her hometown.. her hometown is very small and farming..
hehe.. we are in med-high classic neighbors.. there are 3 huge houses (one just sold for 1.9 million) :eek:.. lol they give out alots candy and $ lol..
