For a 2009 Ford Fiesta it only costs $17K - 20K and payments is around $500 a month, and the full insurance is only a $900 a year under my membership with NRMA. :)

Wow! too much insurance. My new SUV s fully coverage insurance (semi-annual) is approx. $300. how old will your insurance be lower? similar to US?

The car is brand new, insurance for these kind is expensive but worth in the long run. And No, once again, insurance policies varies in Australia.

and varies in the US too. It can be more expensive in cities and less expensive in other cities, too. It costs me $1100 a year with full coverage for my 2000 Honda Civic.

i agree with CS Sinned, get a MAD MAX REPLICA !! WOOT< that car would be a chick magnet changing your life forever!

Insurance rates are higher for smaller vehicles. Average 6-month insurance premium is Honda Civic is about $800 and Honda CR-V is $600 because the Civic is "worse than average" for personal-injury losses and medical payments. That means passenger injuries are costly for this car.

Insurance rate in urban cities is higher than suburban cities. My car insurance rate was higher in Cleveland. Moved to suburban city and insurance rate was lower and save $200-300. Sequoias, why not you moving to suburban city?

Costs $17K - 20K ($14K - $16k USD) Not so bad. I like Mazda 2 smiliar to Ford Feista. I hate Ford name.

You can say that whatever and whenever you want. I love Ford cars. Full stop.

I got pre-approved for a cal loan of 20K -- it is not 100% confirmed, at least, it allows me that I am allowed to have a car loan and a new car. Lets see what the insurance company have to say about it!

Trade in (Cash for clunker)?

I went to the car lot today and checked out the car, wow!

It is very sleek, but didn't have time to take it for a test drive, I should tomorrow though. And spoke to the sales manager. Got the quote - $19,450 DRIVE AWAY (the car is a Ford Fiesta CL WS, Black in colour, manual and 5 door)

Great! I hope that your sales manager accept to trade in old car(clunker) to new car. save money to repair expense for old car.

Try find a used car with one year less

Example you buying a new car for 17K ...... Then 3 to 7 thousand dollars off your new car's value when you drive it out of Car dealership area! :ugh:

However... Your decide and Good luck! ;)

I agree. But used auto loan rates are higher than new ones. Late-model cars price (2009) are cheaper than 2010 new car.

There is no 2010 cars at the moment in stock, but I like the fiesta one when I saw it at the car lot and I would like to buy one of these.

Let you decide new one. Can your sales manager accept to trade in old car(clunker) to new car and tow it?

That is an excellent question -- I am not sure if they would accept a minor damaged car for a trade... but I highly doubt it.
