Are you scolding your cats when they do something wrong?

If you just clean up after them without saying anything to them, they may think it's nothing.

1) cayenne pepper on top of the dirt around the plants. It only takes a tiny bit.

2) You might need seperate cat box for each cat. some cats do not like sharing.

3) Keep the cat boxes clean.

4) Animals respond to positive reinforcement much better than negative reinforcement.

5) All it takes to let a cat know he is acting bad is a stern voice.

6) And cats are different from dogs in that the INSTANT they stop doing something wrong you must stop correcting them. For example if he is up on the dining room table you can talk sternly with him. But the instant he gets down off the table you must be nice to him.

7) I taught my kitty to play the piano with only positive reinforcement.

I believe that the Grannick's Bitter Apple is natural - no toxic. I am sure that they will definitely not want to taste the bitter. (www .bitterapple. com)

I know why your cats chew your plants because they need to "brush" their teeth, or some kind of diet. That's their nature. All cats and dogs are doing the same thing.

I have a great idea - put some grasses on a new flowerpot in the house. Your cats will chew the grasses instead of your plants. I think that you will be surprised about this one. My mother told me about it, and it was true because we had a cat a few years ago.

Really, my cats get vomited after eat plants... I was told that it's toxic for cats to eat plants... ?

If cats want to clean their teeth then chew woods or cupboards.... to keep their teeth shape and clean... that's all what I know... We have woods on scratching post for the cats to bite/chew after finish scratch... and left some cupboards or hard papers for cats to bit/chew... :dunno:

Some houseplants are toxic to cats. Here is the link that has a list of plants that are harmful to cats: CatStuff: Plants Toxic to Cats (or www. xmission. com~emailbox/plants. htm)

Grass is not toxic as long as no chemical spraying. I have never seen a cat chewing wood. I think I have seen a cat chewing a cupboard. It might be your bobcat or a wild cat by mistake! Do you have your glasses to see whether your cat is a bobcat? Actually, bobcats live in North America. (Silly me!)

EWWWWWW! I'm in a I wanna kill my cats mood right now. They keep getting in out house plants and thinking they are they're freaking litter boxes!

Poor house plants, they're probably coughing up the cat's urine and stools.

I am having a hard time saving the one house plant that they went in a lot.......I changed soil, and pot and hopefully it will rebound....I got a spray bottle that is working nicely...I sprayed them whenever they got near the plants...I am more vigilant now with putting them out when I leave...although I feel cruel doing that.

I wish to tell you that my cat is bobcat... :D This is my dream cat ... Unfortunlately my cat is not bobcat :( My 20 years old Sussi chew soft wood or cupboard but now no more since she have no front and bottom teeth but 4 shape teeth... Kim chew soft wood and cupboard alot... 2 kitten Flecky & Blacky chew only cupboard.

Unfortunlately correct...

All what I do is keep my eye on my cats when I'm in room... I never let my cats alone in other rooms where the plants are around. Most of plants I put at one big room (dinning room, 2 living room & study room in one room). Few plants in kitchen... I hang them from ceiling... the cats can't jump it... :D

Question:

Do you have plants in every rooms?

If you have plants in few rooms, then shut the door ... until you are in the room then cat can go in...

what's cat litter box you have... It must be reason why your cat don't like cat litter...?

Where you put cat litter box?

If your cat don't like litter box but depend on soil all the time then I would suggest you to put soil on litter box instead of cat litter ? See either it work or not...? It's just try...

Cats are very curious..Thats common normal. Once they get older.. it will less mess.
