Right, Nathan. They never announce it if MVPs are ready. Reps will contact clients for being ready to install MVP. Please don't ask Customer Care about MVP. keep quiet till surprise to get it.
Then why did they announce the
existance of MVP, and that we will get one soon...no one I know has one yet...and what about the lines? Why do we need to ask 10 other Deafies to sign up for their own MVP, and then each of those 10 Deafies need to ask another 10 Deafies, and so on and so forth, so we can move up on the lines until we get to the top in order to get our own MVP? I don't get it. Why were the lines necessary? None of the other VP companies have done this. Why is Purple Communications doing this? What for? I do not understand. Please explain. I don't want to bother 10 Deaf people, and then have each of them bother 10 more Deaf people, just so I can have my own MVP (it does feel like I am bothering many people when I do this, and I don't want to bother all my friends...I care about my friends and I don't want to annoy them...their friendship is worth much more than a MVP, and I don't want to lose my friends), which I still yet have not gotten. I don't want to be rude. I actually have asked Purple Communications to take me off their list a couple weeks ago because I don't want to do all this. I prefer to just simply sign up for my own MVP, and then sit and wait for a little while, and then get one, than do all this. Anyway, can you please explain the whole purpose of those lines? What are they for? Why does Purple need those lines? Other VP companies have never needed lines. Why does Purple? What for? I do not understand. Please explain.
To compare: getting Sorenson VP-100 was quite easy. Yes, I know it is not a mobile VP, but my point was to compare how business was conducted in order to get a VP/mobile VP. It is different from Purple's in order to get a MVP. I only waited 1 week. I didn't have to ask any other Deaf people in order to get it. All I did was sign up on the internet, fill out all the necessary forms, and then sit back and wait (I have to say that I got the VP-100 quite late because I was not in a position to get one earlier when it first came out, due to housing issues that I had for about a year - therefore why I was able to get the VP quite quickly when I finally had an apartment of my own to call home - everybody had already gotten theirs). Within a week, I got an email from someone from Sorenson saying that they are ready to install it whenever I want them to, and we set up an appointment, and they came right away, and installed it. I did wait a long time to get my VP-200, but that was only because I hardly ever used my VP-100 due to poor picture quality from not having higher internet speed, and priority was given to those who used their VP-100 much more frequently, or so I was told. I have a VP-200 now and it has better picture quality and I didn't have to upgrade my internet speed at all and therefore I use it a lot more now. I don't have any other VPs from any other VP companies because I do not see the need for an extra one. One is enough for me.
But a mobile VP...that is an very awesome idea, but...the lines? Why? Asking other Deaf people, having them ask other Deaf people, etc? Why? It doesn't seem like it is really worth doing all that. I'll wait until MVP is actually out and people actually has it in their hands, and then I will sign up for it (if there are no more lines, otherwise, I won't bother to sign up at all - I don't have the patience and the motivation). Doing all this work just to get a MVP doesn't seem very appealing and doesn't seem worth it. Sorry, but no thanks.
All I wanna know is...where's the MVP and why doesn't a single Deaf person I know have one yet? That's what I am wondering about. Just 2 simple questions. Thanks in advance if you could answer those questions for us, Chevy.
