Hello All,

My name is Christopher I am HoH due to a condition called Audiotory Processing Disorder, I am also legally blind. Any how I have a MVP that I got this past Friday at Purple event. I wanted to pass along my feed back as it stands now with the device.

I would like feedback on what I have stated in this writing, please only productive feedback, please read the post more then once before giving feedback so you have best understanding.

First want to say wonderful device, I know its in its first version so here goes in the improvements that should be deployed.

First when in a call, and in FULL screen mode, it should USE all of the screen, it should allow for the person to move their video screen any corn of the screen as they chouse while in a call. the buttons should be hidden, and when the user touches the screen or push button on remote then menu option should show.

I feel that the status option should also be allowed on the full screen either at the top or bottom ONE line edge which should also include the time you been on phone, I love the idea of the status and see how many frames are being sent or how long been on the call

This next thing is a MUST CHANGE for the sake of people that are color blind, the focus box (the border around something that is in focus) when using the remote, this could be done either two ways when move along buttons the WHOLE button can change color or the border needs to change color (make sure high contrast)

The speed of this device is unbelievable slow, first for being an embedded Linux device this device should be able to boot in less then 30 sec any thing more is NOT acceptable. Windows is slow, Linux IS NOT, my home computer which is run Ubuntu boot from time of hit power to logging in takes under 30 sec its more like 23sec and its a beta version not even final, that loading all of its drivers, being able to connect to the Internet etc. I hope this is improved BEFORE it goes Public all the way. The responsiveness of the screen is to be desired, it can use improvement but I believe if the system its self is improved then this may change. The time it takes for it to connect to a network could use a nice improvement, it take less then 5sec for a net-book or even a desktop to connect to the internet this should also

I think for the browser you guys should of went with firefox its a much better web browser then opera, but even with that, I think you could use more of the screen instead of empty space, also its not easy to use the remote and close the browser when finish with it

It would be nice for the device to adjust the camera zoom when your changing from cradle to portable, when using as portable it should not have as strong zoom as for you to show your upper body you need to have the device about 3 feet away, its better to have to zoom in then not to be able at all zoom out, this would be a good improvement for those that need the device closer to them due to having a vision (eye) issue

It would be nice when you guys get the USB enabled that you also have a feature to use a web based TTY or even use text relay service. There is already a company that does TTY calling through the internet its called NexTalk.net, you may beable to work a partnership type deal or get the software / hardware from them as they SELL it then a person could plug a keyboard in call a TTY

Also it would be wonderful if the device could handle a VCO with out needing to call another number, the device has a speaker/mic and person can plug in headset/mic

And for now my last request is to make the ability to USE ONE number for text relay, video relay, and tty

Now I have a question:
FIrst what is the telphone jack thats on the cradle for?
Also what is the SD card going to be used for?

Sincerely,
Christopher

Phone jack on cradle you can add the light flashers as Radio shack Fone 2 or Sonic Alert TR75VRS.

SD Card not be used, in the future would able to save video movie or addy book and etc.

USB port not be used, in the future would able to use keyboard, mouse and etc.

Hello All,

wow, I surprise no one give their feedback, what they think

Sincerely,
Christopher

gez,,,,Linux is cool but! this mvp is almost like a terminal and similar to cloud computing ,that mean every time you view or access apps it get downloaded from their server and secondly is they does wasted lots of rack mount servers and the amount of electricity to run them ,yes its one mvp for each one rack mount server because of upcoming 8 way videoconferencing ,again a single rackmount server can run up to 4 x terminals! so.... they will realize their mistakes and allow apps to be embedded in mvp as for purplemail too ojo has that message recording locally
