I think the biggest problem they are having (according to my audie) is that they will need separate processing programs for speech and music. The biggest hurdle is the fact that most people tend to listen to music in a social setting...so switching back and forth between a "speech" setting on your processor and a "music" setting would be cumbersome. And then there's songs - you have both music AND speech....
Actually singing and music I just just stay on the same program. I usually do not talk during a performance. Listen to music and talking to someone one on one is the same program. It is when I need to understand someone better in a noisy situation like a sports bar is when I change the program.
