Murder victim's family offers reward - WALB.com News, Weather and Sports for Albany, Valdosta and Thomasville. Leading the way for South Georgia. |
The family of a murdered Albany woman is offering a reward to help find her killer. 45-year old Gayle Jackson was shot in the back Thanksgiving morning, her body was found next to a dumpster on South McKinley Street.
Jackson was deaf and unable to speak clearly. Her family made a plea for help earlier this week, and tonight, they're offering a one thousand dollar reward for information in the case.
Her brother Willie Jackson said, "We feel that the city needs closure, because very easily I could be at Walmart and the killer could be in line standing behind me. At this day we want to let the public know that we need their help. We feel very strongly that someone heard something, know something or saw something."
Jackson frequently walked the streets of South Albany. If you saw her the night before Thanksgiving and can give police any information you should call Albany police at 431-2100, or CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
