I was wondering what movies made you think about it for weeks after seeing it. It can be a scary movie that horrified you, it can be a drama that you deeply relate to, it can be a political movie that changed how you think about things, and so on.

For me:
-American History X: Made me think about the cycle of racism.
-Requiem for a Dream: Depressed me for days.
-Real Women Have Curves: I deeply relate to this movie and it made me really sad for days after because it didn't have that great of an ending.
-Arlington Road: I started being a little more suspicious about things!
-The Virgin Suicides: I couldn't stop thinking about this movie for weeks after, dunno why.
-Stephen King's IT: Scarred for life! Never watch it when you're 9, just before a hurricane that caused a month long blackout...
-V for Vendetta: Made me think about the future.
-The Good Son: Couldn't stop thinking about this movie for so long when I first saw it. I saw it at a REALLY young age since I had a huge crush on Mac Culkin and Elijah Wood...

What about you guys???

City Lights 1931 by Charlie Chaplin. A silent film where Chaplin's character "The Tramp" does good deeds with no hope of recognition or reward and even ends up in prison for something he did not do.

His acts were completely selfless. I liked the thought of such nobility in the depths of squalor.

-Stephen King's IT: Scarred for life! Never watch it when you're 9, just before a hurricane that caused a month long blackout...

:laugh2:

I saw the television premiere when i was 14...i was afraid to wash my face and hands because of that terrible bathroom scene (with the blood and voices). Not cool at all.

The Color Purple was deep for me. I cry every time I watch it.

The Ultimate Gift

You all have to see that movie. :)

Whenever I'm simply feel down or convinced my life is in the gutter - I just remind myself at least I don't have it as bad as that kid from The Bicycle Thief.

Miracle In Milan, directed by Vittorio De Sica (Bicycle Thieves) is also a very touching neorealist film. While not on a par with Bicycle, it's definitely worth watching and the special effects are pretty amazing given the film was filmed in 1950.

Georgia Rules

That movie really hit it home for me and let's just say it is a personal thing that has really affected me. Nevertheless, It also reminded me how fortunate I was and blessed for that purpose. :)

A tear jerker

The Notebook... that movie made my eyes water until I thought I'd drown in my own apartment. :)

The Notebook
Color Purple
P.S. I Love You
Cold Mountain
The Lake House

Those movies are the best and made me tears. Good movies though.

Seen this movie, and it is a good one, I did an essay on this in grade 10 and got a good grade

Yep it's indeed an amazing story!

I was also deeply touched by PS. I love you... I was crying like hell and thinking it's only a movie :giggle: I just couldn't help it...
