Mouthpiece could let the deaf "hear" through their tongues

I would be afraid getting shocked or setting my mouth on fire. No thank you
 
I noticed no demonstration. Wonder if anyone can use it yet. I just want real time captioning glasses with blue tooth so they work with my phone too.

I know my friend was able to read her family singing Happy Birthday to her using Google Glass.

Not sure how it really worked.
 
I think google glass II is comming out this year. Maybe they will have some useable software.
 
I would rather have this type of device than the implant. I wore a retainer for several years and that is less invasive than the cochlear implant. Once you go forward you can't go back. It still is in research mode and it could be a great development for those in the future and possibly lest costly. Hmmm.. just a thought and very interesting.
 
Seems all this thing-a-ma-jiggy stuff to make the deafies hear...gets stranger and stranger.

Omg...I am scared to what will be next. A device to put in our anuses so we can hear? Lol
 
It probably won't even come to fruition b/c of the monopoly that the CI and HA companies have on the business.

Not to sound conspiratorial, but I wonder if that's one of the reasons why Uni's and small research companies have had a hard time getting funding for Gene Therapy notch blocker research?

They finally did a clinical trial on one guy in Kansas about a month ago. I can't wait to find out the results.

Maybe.... Also b/c of the fact that the biggest cause of hearing loss is unknown.
