mountain biking ?

hey boult. what do u say if we go to SLC to meet some deaf mtn bikers and we all can go to MOAB for mtn biking and camping at there sometimes in 2008 ? i know one deaf mtn biker in SLC
That would be nice but I have plan in Summer 2008 to hit Rochester, NY for NTID Reunion.

If I wanted to go then I would have to get in shape real serious for that heheh.. since I am just novice not expert or intermediate. I don't have a way to transport my bike so that means I would need someone's truck to haul my bike you know? my truck is fuxored back in 2000 so my means of transportation in Tucson is Bus, Bike, Walk eh... oh yeah I do get rides from friends or relatives from time to time. Saving up to get a Ford 150 4door pickup so I can haul my bike but that will be years from now eh..

but anyhow... I'll see what happen in 2008, I might be lucky to be able to go. I have a friends here in Tucson who might be interested since one of them is pondering to buy a new mountain bike like this one; Iron Horse Bikes eh...

see what happens..

do you do mountain biking ? if so, how often ? where do you usually ride on ? what level do you train on ? i would like to know what trails do u go because one day i might come over there for mtn biking.

i love mtn biking. i train on that at 3 to 6 days a week(depends on weather). i go to big creek and blanket creek right after my office almost daily and workout for 1 to 2 hrs. i go to advanced trails which are very challenge and a lot of funs(no fun when i get flat tires). hopefully i ll try out my first mtn biking race this year.

i have traveling to NC, VA, MD and GA for mtn bikings. this weekend i will go to TN and see how the trails will be. :)

No, I don't, but I would like to some days, I would just have to get a new bike, and find a new park where I could ride my bike down the trails, It seems like a fun sport. How did you end up with a flat tire? from riding it too long or what? I'm curious so I'll be more prepare in that case if that ever happens to me.

Oh, years ago, I have been dreaming of hitting that trial in ND and I bookmarked this url; maah-daah-hey-trail.com but they went offline.. so it is called "Maah daah hey trail" (Let me find the archived website on wayback machine... oh frak the site owner blocked so it is not archived...)

well here's alternative url regarding this trail;

oh there are many reasons why we get flat tires. :) i have to watch out the tube between the rims and tires because the tube can be pinched hardly inbetween rims and tires. i always carry one spare tube, chains, patch kit, and pocket tools in my hydration pack because i do mtn biking in advanced trails and anything can happen to this bike so be prepared to fix one of them almost daily.

you shouldnt be worried if you ride on beginners trails. :)

if you want to know where the trails are near your home, you can find good info - Mountain bike trail maps, videos, photos, reviews, GPS data, training Logs, and gear || SINGLETRACKS.COM

boult, thanks for videos. it was interesting. as for me i would love to try mtn biking at MOAB and Whistler. my mtn bike is not designed for downhill, it is for only XC(cross country) plus long distance.

have you seen several videos at whistler ? they are radial !

As for me it's Schwinn/ Shiamno hehe..

heh yes schwinn is very good, yet i dont like the looks of schwinn's designed mtn bike.

i look for a better mtn bike. i always drool at ellsworth bikes and turner bikes. they arent cheap at all. from 3k to 10k bucks. as for me i am looking for santa cruz, trek, gary fisher, and GT. up to 2k to 2.5k bucks.

if my mtn bike is worth up to 600, i would break it easily. no kidding. :(

Walking into my garage......

came back in and My mtn bike is cheap! lol

the brand is : Roadmaster MTN sport sx whatever lol
I bought it almost 2 years ago since I live in maine.. where there's lots of rocks everwhere even on dirt road.. many hills etc soo figure I buy that but I also want to buy ten speed bike for ROADS only...
