Mosquito Repellent Plants

I have a large foyer, yes. Why?

Oh, I was just thinking that, other than the main concept of a vestibule, I was thinking it probably helps keep mosquitoes from the inner sanctum....

Gotcha. This is not a closed foyer, though. Maybe I should say it's an entryway rather than a foyer but I guess that's the term we use here.

No. Not in this case. It's a large room and not a hall.

Ok, to me, a vestibule is really a neat concept, especially for cold climes: Its a room/entryway before you get to the second door into a building......just like there's this space between entries of places of business for energy-saving reasons mostly but there's neat ideas with single family homes wherein this space can be as big or small as you want....sometimes called a breezeway; one can have a place to put overshoes, umbrellas, etc.......

Yes, I think many of the older homes have them. I see this all the time in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Also, we also have what we call a "mud room" it comes off the fear age and that's where we put shoes and coats, etc. but that isn't closed off from the rest of the house either.

The reason putting anything on a tick is bad is because it can make it barf back what it sucked out of you and it increases the chances you'll get a disease from the tick.

Just use the physical method of pulling it out without squishing the body (which also makes the tick barf it back into you) and consider going on doxycycline depending on how long that tick has been in you. There are little convenient tools that are cheap that can help you do this.

Also if your dogs get a tick it should be immediate doxy protocol as well. It can happen in cats, but is less likely.

i thought if you pull it out then chance you leave its head in body...my cat got tick once look like grey baked bean

Good grief. I hate autocorrect! That so-called "fear age" was supposed to be GARAGE. I suspect you knew what I meant. :)
