Do you still have/wear the 20 yrs plus old clothes? :wiggle:

Smiles.... I can't even get my leg into a pair of my old pants. I was one skinny guy. I just gave a pile of them away to my cousin - they fit her fine. In fact that is one of the mysteries of life. My brain cannot compute how her butt which is wayyy bigger than mine was fits in those pants just fine. :hmm:

My girls really got a kick out of finding clothes to wear for their 80's day at school in my closet. So yes I guess I keep clothes too long. Hey they still fit:):)

Oooooh! I have a few faves I've nearly worn out, I still wear a pair of 90's riding boots and low rise faded jeans. You got me thinking what else I could have stashed in my closet.

No, but here in Boston the conservative style has been going on since the revolution. And, it's a college town, over dressing here seems to be a cardinal sin.

i got 1967 lime green blouse hardly worn,it looked good at the time when in my teens.going to sell it,retro big thing now

20 years ago... I was 15 and even I still had clothes from then, they would be far too short! The jeans would be cropped trousers! I grew 9 inches in between 15-21 yrs old!

Yeppers. Was looking through old pics and recognized some sweatshirts I still have & wear. I can't fit into my old pants, but can still wear a lot if old tops.

:D

I still have a jean jacket that must be like 22 years old I bust out every now and again. I have another shirt/jacket maybe not quite a sweater, whatever the heck it is, I still have it, even though I never wear it whenever I go through my clothes getting rid of stuff it always makes the cut....just in case, it's probably 21/22 as well. I have a dress, looks kind of a like a gogo dress I hang to, that's maybe 18 or 19 so it's getting there. Jeans though no, I wear those into the ground.

I just a got a new top a month ago, only worn it once. It's my fav ever, I don't think it will last 20 plus years though, that means I'd be wearing it into my 60's. I just don't think I'll be able to pull it off anymore by then. I've even named the thing. It's my Mullet shirt.

The only clothes I have that are 20+ years old are boxed up as mementos (school sport team jerseys, high school jacket, wedding dress) ... I even have my Dad's old letterman sweater and hockey jersey :).

I clearly remember what I wore 20+ years ago and there was nothing worthy of seeing the light of day again .

Yes, I do actually...some I fit into, others I don't but I keep as I try and shed some unwanted pounds. Since I started a new job in NH (the place is freezing), I'm buying new clothes for the first time in years....literally...years.... Bostonians tend to dress in layers, especially during the winter and there's not much variety in the clothes we wear so if it fits, we wear it until it's worn out....

Wirelessly posted

I still have my FSD jacket with my letter from high school years in my closet.

My shoe collection bit the dust since I developed bad arthritis, so I don't wear anything that old.

My husband however has a collection of Chamois shirts from LLBean, of which he gets one each Christmas. They never wear out so he definitely has stuff that old that he wears.

Every 5 years or so, I purge just about everything out of my closet and start fresh. I don't keep clothes, just toys & tools.

My mom was talking about Chamois shirts this Christmas. She loved my Dad in them and has not been able to find them for years and years. I will look at the LLBean site, thanks.
