Mock bluetooth (HA)

They are called bluetooth headsets, not just bluetooth.

Bluetooth is a wi-fi technology.
Ohh, I didn't know that. I thought it was all called bluetooth.
ok hearing aid that look like bluetooth in church??? did anyone see that picture? LOL I wonder how many dirty looks people will get from the members of their church (because cellphone in churches are considered rude)

lol, I've worn bluetooth headset in church before. I also used my bluetooth headset to secretly listen to the music on my phone during class. (Shh, don't tell my professors.)

I miss my bluetooth headset. The bluetooth headset let me do other things while I was on the phone. It's probably best that I lost it. I live in a small town, so people normally just thought I was talking to myself when I had the bluetooth headset on. I got tired of explaining that I was talking through my bluetooth headset.

I am curious: Has anyone tried using that sound amplifier/hearing aide that looks like a bluetooth? Does it do anything at all for Deaf? It seems like it's too cheap to work like a real HA.

I should get one and try it ha.it probably wouldnt do anything for the deaf side. Im right handed though and whenever i get calls i put the phone up to my right ear :P then never can hear whats going on ha.I dont think I will ever learn.

They just amplify sounds. They're not actually digital hearing aids. And the thing that bothers me is that I'm already paranoid about hearing people so they don't think I'm ignoring them- I don't need the added freak out when someone's walking toward me talking, so I respond only to see that they're wearing a bluetooth. Idk. No offense to people that use legitimate bluetooth headsets, but.. I wouldn't. My dad used it once or twice, never actually in public.

I don't think my husband's bluetooth headset look dumb. What's so dumb about comfort? Why do people need to make something look cool, sylist, etc. because comfort is out.

My husband use it for work and home.

if its for work thats different. im refering to the people who wear it because they think they look cool. The ones who walk around the shopping mall with them on.

just my opinion.. i've never been into fashion so w/e

*EQL*

Yea, EQL, that's what I meant, too. You don't need to wear one in a restaurant at lunch. Maybe people forget that they have them on? I don't know.

I think they are important for the road etc since you can no longer drive and be on the cell since its against the law. Other than that I wouldn't wear one but if someone is a business person I think they are more convenient

OK everyone seems to hate Bluetooth(agreed they look very dumb). But what about smartlink's they have Bluetooth too.

What about aids like the Oticon Eqop that has Bluetooth build in.

The ad said it's powerful and discreet.

I would say hearing aids can be a bit more discreet than this bluetooth.

we don't hate the technology (although bluetooth the technology has a sound delay thats pretty annoying), we hate the look of the bluetooth earpieces people wear.

Do they forget to take it off? Maybe some.. but some i honestly think wear it cause they think it looks 'cool'. I had a girl who would wear it in our college class... prof asked her to take it off.. she said she would never answer her phone in class.. prof asked why she needed it on then?.. she said 'i like the look of it' OMG

My wife wears her earphones 24/7 in public and a lot of people think they're hearing aids. They think she's the deaf one and I'm the blind one. :giggle:

my husband have one of bluetooth that look like hearing aids. I just go around telling him how do you like your hearing aids so far? LOL

He just ignore me :p

My DS (4) says I have on an HA just like him when I wear a BlueTooth.

some ear phones have hooks that go on back of ears that look liek ha's...ive seen them and mistaken them for bluetooth headsets...there are some bluetooth headsets that have a basing in the back too just like a hearing aid..its weird lol
