I’ve seen several posters mention they get Migraines often some more then once a week. My wife is afflicted with this same Disease, and I call it a disease because it is. It’s not treatable, you can’t be cured and the best the Dr. can do is offer Imitrex, Topamax or Relpax.
The wife has gotten to where she will not take the Imitrex injections anymore due to the side effects. She says it feels like she might be having a heart attack so she only uses the pill which doesn’t always work. The only thing that works at this point is a visit to the ER for a shot of Stainal and Phenergan. This will knock her out of action for 24 to 48 hours but it gets rid of the headache. Only problem is it makes her feel like they think she is a drug addict after they see all that she is already taking for the Migraine
Anyone here heard or tried any new treatments and what are the side effects??
