1) Sadly, it is very real to some. Hence "detachment from reality"
2) Note the word "simulated"
Again, that's their problem - see my reply above to Jiro.

that's what addicts say. it's called - self-denial.I'm not addicted to gaming
Exhibit #1 - your road rageso I have no idea about what are you getting from, even violent video game doesn't worsen or aggressive my behavior because I know those are not real, they are for entertainment purpose.
again - ESRB is not a supreme ruler. it's not a law either. anybody is free to publish any kind of game.ESRB is rating agency in North America only, not UK nor is Europe. The rating board in UK and Europe are run by government, since ESRB is self-regulated that all game publishers have to follow. Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo banned AO rated and unrated games from playing on game console, also Valve (Steam) banned those too.
When they started shooting people in real life it became everyone's problem.
No, the video game isn't major blame for shooting.
What's ridiculous statement, that's getting old now.

what's getting old is you repeating same old thing when in fact we've never said such a thing.
we've never said it's a major factor for shooting.
You are repeating with old information that we already argued before.
We disagree. (Although I never said "major") *shrug*
In fact I think you can trace many of society's problems to video games. People are losing touch with the potential for consequences. Don't like the way the game is going? Just quit, hit restart. Can't make it to the next level? Buy cheat codes. Video games teach the behaviors that are plaguing our nation.
nope. you clearly misunderstood. that is to expected when being very defensive and blind to facts.
it's called self-denial. it's that powerful. one day.... you'll realize it. remember this moment.
Well, it is easy to let agree to disagree and you couldn't change my view about video game.
Now, as for your concern, I can't help you.
okOh please, you don't know about me and I don't play video game so often as when I was teen. I do have life with school, duty at home, chatting with members in AD, deal with medical issue, type the letter/e-mail and playing with pets. I don't have game addiction, period.
Road rage - I didn't became angry or out of control, I just drive calmly until one man got almost slammed on my car and I went cuss word with middle finger. That caused him went out of control all way until he feared me with deadly weapon. I learned the middle finger when I was very young - from other student who gave a bad influence, also my father gave me a bad influence. None of my situation are influenced from video game.
Well, unrated game will not going play anywhere, except for PC and modded consoles, also making game that contain child porn is illegal under federal law. That's not good move to make money from develop the games.
Hope you see the way before it is too late. Good luck to you!
ok
child pornography? where did that come from? I've never said anything about it. I said rape, not child porn.
I know, but I just gave additional information about federal law, that all.
Are you want to change my view? It looks like you aren't respect my view.
I don't understand about your statement with good luck.
irrelevant.
and you aren't respecting his view...
Not really, my post #103 and #104 is about share my view with Vampy and I'm not bothered to argue with TXgolfer until he replied my post.
That will be not over until this thread get locked, unless you make deal.
