I went to a Book store. *Barnes & Noble* I got a book! However, I walked to Magazines section. I grab a few of magazines. I was looked for to sit, but I see two middle age men sat the sofa and snooze! I don't see books with them! I didn't complain! I stood up and read a few magazines.

I was thinking and kick the sofa. "Hey, its not bed and go home" :giggle: because I see some people want to sit too also I cannot sleep at a book store and people looking at!!

Heh heh, their couches are comfortable! When hubby and I go to see his family, I always make sure I go to B & N to sit and FIKA.

FIKA - coffee date with friends, family or people.

i went to mine Barnes and Noble few weeks ago and there was late middle age man sleeping in the back of the cafe Barnes and Noble on the chair with table and ZZZzzzz and i decide against to sit in the back so i went to near front of the cafe to sit

SMH!!! don't understand men to sleep in the cafe and bookstore jeez

Those men were probably there with their wives or girlfriends. ;)

I did the same thing when I went to Barnes & Noble with my ex-girlfriend. ;)

Or they were bums. I see those at the public library. They find a corner and sleep.

hehehe :giggle: sound funny, they slept on the sofa by barnes & Noble. maybe, his girlfriend made noisy at all time, so he cant sleep. LOL

Heh, I've seen quite few people who fell asleep at the Library or at Barnes & Nobles.

As for me, I don't think I would be caught dead sleeping in the public where these strangers could see me sleeping!

i slept at several places sometimes.. i took good 15 mins nap at library, Barnes & Noble, Borders, park, and gym. So what? as long i dont break any rules at all, if somebody wake me up and wants me to leave, i'll cooperate it and simple as that.

one time, i wore my animal control uniform on and went to Borders to grab some magazines. I sat down and closed my eyes [thought it'll take only 5 mins], then end up i went out for near 45 minutes [thats almost a hour!]. Nice lady woke me up and said, "Are you on break or something?" I was like WTF?! then zoom out in really fast. Arrived at work and they asked me, "where were you?" i told them, "Cant I take some nap?" They was like all right with it. WHEW!!

somtimes it can take close eyes for 5 mins turns out longer than expected. Sheesh!

This is true. At the DC Public Library, they are all over the place and not just in the corners. Every which way you walk, audible snoring can be heard.

LOL.

I fell asleep at Borders whilst on break in between classes... woke up and class was due to start in 10 mins. Got out of Borders so fast lol, and jumped on the next bus and ran up hill to lecture theatre... sat down breathless, and the terp asked me if i was ok, i was like yeh just need more O2 and she was like where were you i was like i fell asleep at borders LOL and she was like omg i'd have paid to see that!

Well, I didn't recognize you! Next time if I see a woman asleep in the library, should I tap her awake and ask if it is you?:P

Yep - just give her chocolate! :ty:

:laugh2:

I do feel sorry for those who don't have or know about resources. I often see homeless veterans or disabled persons holding up signs near the local library. I've given away apples, barely eaten burger and uneaten fries, and a couple of bottles of water. :aw:
