4 days of rain....it's Saturday and my boys are out there in the rain playing football....Towels by the door. When I voiced my concern, they said "a little" rain never hurt nobody! We're bored in the house.

Flood warnings everywhere....reminds me of the aftermath of Hurricane Faye when it rained non-stop for weeks.

Even our dog sticks her nose up in the air, won't go out there in that mess.

Hoping by Monday things will clear up and we'll head for the beach. And we're out of toilet paper, so I've got to get to the store! HAHA Always happens when it rains, I believe.

4 days of rain ...
 Ms Rockin' Robin, checking the extended forecast, our next scheduled sunny day will be Monday, June 1, 2009, according to weather dot com. Rain, scattered T-storms called for all day tomorrow. I didn't know we were a potato growing state, I just thought oranges and mosquitoes ...

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- The severe weather throughout the First Coast has rippled all the way to Tallahassee.

Governor Charlie Crist has declared a State of Emergency for 11 counties in northern and eastern Florida.

Citing the wind, rains and crop damage, estimated at $50 million just for potato crops, Gov. Crist declared the emergency for Brevard, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Lake, Nassau, Orange, Putnam, Seminole, St. Johns and Volusia counties.

The Governor has also ordered the activation of Florida's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.

The State is certainly no stranger to similar declarations; it's usually a tropical system that causes it, though.

Activating the emergency plan puts into place coordination of local, state and federal agencies and frees up state departments to take necessary action for the public welfare.

I'll be taking my umbrella with me when I go fishing tomorrow morning in the liquid sunshine! :giggle: Woo Hoo! Fresh water and Fish! :laugh2:

We're dry here although we've had sporadic showers. An example of this is that it's not raining at the house, but it could be raining cats and dogs at the end of the driveway, then by the time you reach the top of the hill, the sun is creeping between the clouds.

I heard some parts of the east coast its t-storms and power outages :( I hope the rain stops for you to enjoy the remainder of the weekend.
