I wanted to share this, in case anyone on AD is in the Toronto area (Deaf or students learning ASL), and wasn't aware of the festival this weekend!

now waiting at Toronto airport to fly to Portugal for business meeting. I bumped into katz4life once again.

it was good seeing many of my Canadian friends there.

Yes, it was free. Really busy, too.

My Deaf Native friends from different First Nation reserves were already at the Mayfest to start their own booth to let them know about their organization "Deaf First Nation of Ontario" which they need help struggling with Canadian Hearing Society and other organizations that does not give them their rights. They did not get their privileges like the Deaf whites have privileges to get services from. I wish I was there but I am here in New Mexico. Oh, well. Now they are going to have another one in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada where I think it will be held on May 30 or 31st.
