(Erie-AP) May 16, 2003 — An administrator in the Erie School District says he knew where to look when a number of students missed school yesterday.
Word had gotten around Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy that students planned to skip school to see the new movie "The Matrix Reloaded."
So associate dean Jay Badams camped outside a nearby movie theater to catch the students red handed.
Badams says the school takes all absences seriously.
The half dozen students who got caught playing hooky say the movie was great and it was worth an afternoon of detention.
