Mariah Carey made an embarrassing gaffe during a recent visit to a French restaurant.

A prankster pal told the singer that the French phrase, "Ce repas était si excitant que je me suis fait dessus" meant, "That meal was wonderful, I'll have to come here again."

Unfortunately when Mariah used her new-found French vocabulary to thank some waiters, she was really telling them, "That meal was so thrilling, I've just wet myself."

A source told the Daily Star, "Mariah wanted to impress the waiters by speaking their language. But she couldn't understand why they looked so shocked whenever she spoke to them."

Oh man, Now that's mortifying! I would be very embarrassed if I had been in her shoe. I could not stop laughing when I read this article.
 
Sounds like the kind of joke some deaf people pull on hearing learning to sign.
 
That reminds me of a scene in National Lampoon's European Vacation where the waiter was talking naughty about the wife and daughter. Hehehe! :laugh2:

lol... many happens to me when hearing ppl try to sign to me. for a cute instance, my old female boss tried to sign to me like "donuts over there", but really she signed like it was "a$$holes over there !" i cracked up onto floor. my boss got blushed and ran toward to her office. she was too afraid to sign with me from now on. i thought it was hilarious.
