Many Many Many Umbrellas

Pasotti since 1956. That ad is running above and below this thread. I have never seen an umbrella ad here before.

They were originally invented for sun protection over 4000 years ago and were used in ancient Greece.

The Chinese were the first to use them for rain, by waxing and laquering paper umbrellas.
 
I wish I had nice umbrellas. I usually buy the cheap one like black or red. thats it. :lol: I ve always wanted to have cartoon thingy or cat on umbrella. oh well ha
 
I've had thousands of umbrellas.....my fav one was with the Jaguars logo on it...and of course, the boys have lost 'em all,,I only see 1 umbrella now on the rack. Gotta hide that one. It's of SpongeBob
 
Lol, I think I am someone you'll hate. I forgot both of my umbrellas when I was a student in university. After that I gave up trying to be an owner of an umbrella. That is until recently, because I was traveling that I needed one, so I bought another one.

Sky blue color somewhat med size umbrella.

I am happy just going out with my jacket, rather than an umbrella because I find it to be extra burden carrying just something.

But it's there for now, hanging on doorknob for the day I'll need it. That is...until next time I accidentally abandon it somewhere.
 
We have quite a few. I have 3 in my car. 2 large ones and 1 small one. I have 2 oversized ones in the bedroom. MIL has about 10-12 of them. There are 5 in her car, both 2 person size for her, and regular size as extras.

In spite of all of them, I do not use one. It's too hard to handle with the canes and my purse. Hubby wants me to find something that will clip onto my walker when I get in. I currently use a hat that is reversible, that I got when I had my HA's. It is water-repellent. I keep it rolled up in my purse.

Almost forgot, we also have 4 for the boat. We sold the boat, but kept the umbrellas. I also have 5 porch/picnic table umbrellas and 3 beach umbrellas.

I only have one and its in Leopard prints, had it since Freshmen year in HS and its still in good condiction.... Now its in my room in the closet.

Burberry is a really good brand of umbrella. I don't have one because they are very expensive. I wish I did.
 
Whew, Botti...I took a stab at it from a 45 yr old fog back to the time I took elementary french!
 
when my husband used to take the bus to work he kept losing the umbrellas...

I think the only umbrella I own is a large golf umbrella that I keep in my golf bag. I only have it because the hospital was distributing them during nurse's week a few years ago.
