Man Urinates on $600 Worth of Steaks

Aren't the meat supposed to be packaged to the point it is air tight? What's so gross about peeing? There are hundreds of people who touch things in the store, and we all know they don't wash their hands...there's traces of feces, sperm, and god knows what else all over produce and packages in the store...think about that the next time you eat a banana without washing it. Just saying...

so would you buy it? :)

I'd insist they rinse the package, but yes I would...after all I buy other stuff that clearly isn't untouched...

I asked someone at our local WalMart about this type of problem. He got the meat department manager to talk with me. The mgr said that in a case like that, they are reuired by the health department to put on fresh gloves, remove product to a clean table in the back, unplug the display case, move it to the back and hose it down with scalding hot water and sanitizer, then replace the display case. As for the meat, photos must be taken to go with police report and the meat is double bagged in red bags provided by the health department and disposed of in the incinerator. My local WalMart had to do this once.
