Man shot by his dog

Not all firearms have safety switch in it, and it should never be a dependent feature. Best is don't load until ready to use em, that is safer than depend on safety switch.
Correct about safeties--they can fail.

My concealed revolver doesn't have a safety.

Umm, if you wait to load your gun until you need it, it might be too late when timing is critical. Plus, if you're carrying concealed, that's another "piece" to conceal and carry.

For handling, always assume every gun is loaded until you personally check it, each and every time.

I told Zeus we might try Concealed Carry but by the look on his face you can tell he didn't like where he'd have to carry it. Lol

Did you see my comment about a friend having a German shepherd collie mix dog that bite a guy trying to break into her house ? I loved that dog he was so damn smart that it was scary . He did not bark he just waited for a person to try and break in then attack him.

Yes I saw that.

The cops in my city had a demonstration on how they trained their dogs , there were two cops and 2 dogs . One cop had his dog attack his arm and when the cop gave the command for the dog to release his hold the dog did not . The cop had to end up kicking his dog to get him off his arm . I was  . The other cop did not have that happen. I was thinking wow if the dog did attack a person he may not let go . I hope the cop learned how to train his dog better. It was rather awkward for him having to kick his dog in public like that. I felt bad for the poor dog he did nothing wrong , he just had a bad trainer.

Yeah he was a great dog and if you started to pet him and stopped he would try to move your hand to pet him more. You felt very safe with him around.

LOL
The perpetrator Pem Corgi got caught, arrested, his pawprints and picture taken, his offence classified,
later he's got accordingly punished.

Such started his career as registered criminal :D

Tisn't a Pembroke Corgi if you're looking at the picture. That's either a Jack Russell or a Besenji (which I can't spell). If it's the latter, he won't talk (no vocal cords). Here's a corgi (of the two next to each other, one ended up with us):

We had a German Shepherd dog growing up and she was very close to me, I was the only that tried to train her . I almost drowned and she jumped into the water to try and save me. I was at a neighbor house in NH and he jumped in to save me , I was told my dog was swimming out too . I kept my dad from abusing her and I really think she understand what I was doing.
