"give a robber what he want and they're leave you alone"
One of the men hit him in the head several times with a pistol, according to police.
Is there a reason for posting this?
Does there need to be one?
Does someone need to get your approval before posting something?
Does the world revolve around you?
(just a fyi - I am posting this sentence for absolutely no reason at all)
Maybe because they said they were the FBI with a warrant? That could be intimidating. And I question why he didn't check before he opened the door.

That's a good idea, yes. Sometimes that's not enough for getting the whole picture of what's happening outside though.gotta look thru a peephole

I get where you coming from. They are still alive aren't they? So they came out of it ok.
Yes, I pay attention to the news. I also see in the news that real law enforcement units DO make mistakes and sometimes violently burst into the wrong residences. It CAN happen. If you paid attention to the news, crooks have been using that (FBI) for several years to gain entrance to the house.
Can you guarantee that? Of course, not.If it's late night and you have done nothing wrong, just put a chair under the knob, don't answer the door and go back to bed because it's not the FBI! They hardly ever go after someone late at night and prefer early morning raids because the people they are looking for are usually asleep and are less apt to cause problems.
According to seb, it won't be the police at the door.I'm just curious how would you guys defend yourself in this case?
Bringing a gun to the door when the cops are at the door isn't exactly bright either. So I'm trying to see this through.
