i'm not surprised at all. There are only been aroung 150,000 implants done out of the 6 billion people. That is a tiny percentage.

Makes sense, most people I encounter have never heard of them. Even
one of my child's pediatricians was pretty fascinated by them, didn't know there was such a thing and researched them before our next visit.
