Man 'forced girlfriend to sign abuse contract' - Seven News Queensland

A man in the US allegedly forced his pregnant girlfriend to sign an abuse contract allowing him to beat her whenever he wanted.

Under the contract, Graydon Smith, 31, was allowed to punch, kick and throttle his girlfriend so long as he didn't harm her pregnant belly, the Daily Mail Reports.

The abuse contract was revealed after he was arrested by police for assaulting his girlfriend at their Seattle home.

The victim's stepfather had called police after he witnessed Smith allegedly throttling his daughter.

At the time of the arrest, she was found with cuts and bruises to her face and told police her boyfriend was responsible for the assault.

According to the Daily Mail, the unemployed Smith admitted he had forced his girlfriend to sign the contract giving him licence to carry out the abuse.

Seattle police detective Elizabeth Ellis told the Daily Mail: "Graydon made her sign a statement giving him permission to physically abuse her anywhere on her body except on her pregnant belly."

Smith has been charged with assault and harassment and is being held on a $130,000 bond.

He should give his contract to all victims of Domestic Violence and see how he like the table being turned on him!

If he came face to face with me...

seriously he won't like it.

That's very upsetting. I hope the woman had the sense not to go back to him.

Upsets me, too....ahh...dunno how old the lady is....and that old saying "love is blind"...many women go back to the men that are mentally & physically abusive to them. No matter how old they are, some never learn, thinking the guy "has/or is going to change."...Or "I know he reallllly loves me!"...."He just has a bad temper, and it's my fault for making him mad enuf to beat me."....

Seems this guy had complete control over this lady...or she is just very uneducated and emotionally broken.....But...making the lady "sign a contract"....what's up with that?...It sure as hell would never hold up in court!

At least here in the States anyway. Any judge in his right mind would rule that contract null and void as the fetus would be considered an unborn child and thus the child was receiving abuse as well. This guy will definitely get his karma in prison for beating on a pregnant woman.
