Man Bring Assault rifle to Store to Make a Statement

Of course people were freaked out. There had just been a shooting in Oregon then the tragedy in Newton. If he was going in to get his gun fixed why not keep in in it's case until he got to the gun counter?

Did you not read the whole article? After the cops asked the guy more questions he admitted he was making a statement . He did not bring his rife to get fixed , he made that up.

"Upon further questioning, the man admitted he had brought the rifle, a variety of the popular AK model with a folding stock, into the store to make a statement.

“He’s trying to promote carrying weapons openly,” Granlund said. “Is it the wisest decision to carry an assault weapon into a retail store on his back?”

I prefer to stick with the fact and the fact shows that what you speak of is statistically rare.... or more like statistically irrelevant.

Even the cop back me up this , Granlund who is a cop did not think it was wise
to bring a rife into a store. You do not know how people are in New Hampshire
some people will shot then ask questions.

OK then if you think this is so rare to happen I dare you to walk into a store with automatic rife on your back and see what happen.

how? automatic rifle is illegal and has been illegal for quite a while.

the last time I shot an assault rifle was at West Point firing range several years ago.

I think I do know how armed citizens are. they certainly will not shoot first and ask later unless they want to move to prison.

many states do have Open Carry law. I have done so and nobody gets freaked out but what he did was rather stupid especially since after Sandy Hook shooting. people are, of course, shaken about it.

just a poor timing. *smh* at him. I think it was the way he acted, not what he was carrying.
What?

Granlund said. “Is it the wisest decision to carry an assault weapon into a retail store on his back?”

Customers ran because of what he was carrying, not how he acted.

you don't know that. they don't know that either.

but a security video would be nice.

What?

Witnesses don't know that, either?

the people who never saw it in the first place such as... reporters and police officers.

this is a state that allows open-carry weapon so why would people get all freaked out about it? if everybody is scared of OCW, then the state would obviously banned it long time ago.

Did you read that the policeman thought it not a wise thing to bring a rife into a store , meaning someone could shot the guy with rife . You do not seen to understand human nature. People will act out of fear and people are still upset and shaken up about Newtown . I disagree with you. People commit crimes all the
time knowing they could end up in jail.

*shrug*

you've just basically repeated what I've just said previously in this thread. overreacting as usual.

Maybe it's the first time a person carried that kind of a weapon into the store like that so that's why people were freaked out since a police officer asked that question, "Is it the wisest decision to carry an assault weapon into a retail store on his back?”.

In other words, if people were not freaked out, it's because they are used to see gun owners carrying the guns in public anywhere.

Being freak out for citizens who are armed, are usually normal at most cases.

I was freak out when one man came with open carry at Target and turned out that he's federal agent, so that happened in 2004.

first of all.... Walmart sells guns. so you can see how it would be ridiculously comical for people to get frightened around at Walmart when that place sells guns over the counter.

I'm not interested in what police officer said. It's a newspaper. They write whatever they want. So I believe my guess is perfectly and reasonably valid. I think people got frightened because of how he acted, not what he carried.

Whatever!

How could I? I don't have a gun like you do.
sure you do.

So don't fucking shoot me please whenever you feel like it.
why would I shoot whenever I feel like it? is that what you think of law-abiding armed citizens?
