Man Arrested For 14 Years Overdue Movie Rental

I saw a guy going this once , he parked his car and got out and plugged his phone to a public power outlet to recharge it. I was wondering that was legal .
No, it is against law, its really in the book for years. The problem is its the taxpayers money, which is cheaper just let them go or charge them all the way? The loss from stolen goods known as power cost minimsous whatever its called, like less 1/100th of a cent verses $5,000 in legal cost and incarcerate them. If we look this way, what if he needs phone in hope to find a place to live and they needs to be charged, and if they used them in order to find job what are we losing? We would be losing a lot more money in long run if we gone in police state over just simply share and we never know if we could grow later on.

The guy I saw didn't look homeless and I think it insane to spend more arresting the homeless , it would made more sense to try to find place for him to live instead
wasting money for lawyer fees and incarcerating him . That $5,000 could had brought a lot of hot meals for homeless people .

I know this person who collect several ketchup slips from mcdonalds and bring them home to fill up her ketchup bottle. :rme:

There was a case in Florida where homeless man plugged his phone using public power outlet to recharge only to get arrest for stealing half cent worth of power, judge had to throw it away, got furious for wasting thousand dollars on arresting, booking, and judge's time for .25 cent worth of power.

The judge should of put the cop that arrested the "power thief" in jail for a few nights for wasting the courts time. Years ago a family friend wanted to see if his Corvette would actually go 150 MPH, so he and his son went to a road that had been closed for several years outside of Hollister, CA and got the car to 150 MPH only to have a cop site him for speeding. He went to court to fight the ticket since the road was actually closed(actually had a gate at both ends) and the minute the judge heard that the road was closed, he dismissed the ticket and told the cop if he ever saw him in his court for sighting someone for speeding on that road he was going to find him in contempt of court and put him in jail.

What is the point of making cars that can drive 150 MPH if we're not allow to drive that fast on a highway? I always wanted to drive my car faster when I was younger but
I didn't want to get a speeding ticket.

The friend driving the Corvette was probably in his late 40's at the time this happened, he didn't want a ticket either and that is why he decided to drive on a closed road.
