Prosecutors Say Man Sexually Exploited Child On Social Networking Site

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 24-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison and a lifetime of supervised release Monday for producing and receiving child pornography.

The court also ordered Anthony Denham to register as a sex offender.

A federal jury found Denham guilty in May.

According to evidence at trial, Denham contacted a child from another state on a social networking website in early 2009. As their online relationship progressed, Denham persuaded the child to take sexually explicit photographs of herself using her cell phone and to send the photos to him in Jacksonville, according to evidence.

In return for the photos, Denham provided the child with prepaid minutes for her cell phone, prosecutors said.

Denham also used a photo of the child to create a fake web page on another social networking site, prosecutors said. He then impersonated a young girl on that website in an effort to trade sexually explicit photos to other men online for cell phone minutes and money, prosecutors said.

That's not "sexting" problem - he used a child for porn. It's child pornography.
