Bathe Pets in Machine Box...

This is really pissed me off.

It's a machine box to wash your pet, you shut it in, and then to start the machine bath pours over the frightened animals to clean them. It's so wrong! Those poor kitties in this video, inculding the back & white cat looks definitely so scared. That point is, the black & white cat and the tiger kitty start to panting because he's obviously terrified and stressed out.

Too bad, the whole time, the reporter, owners, and people are around the place and are just laughing it off, and talking about what an awesome idea of bathe pets. UGH!

Dogs seem don't mind to be washed but cats... in the machine box? BIG no-no.

Poor cat but dog do enjoy it! Not a lot of cats like water...one of my dog hate water...she won't be very happy sitting in there...Tinkerbell will be so happy to get cleaned!

:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: ....just because animals can't speak.. anyone I see do this will be tossed in there and being :locked: in until death!

:ugh: :ugh:

to me, dog seems ok with it.. and cat dont.. i dont think cat would accept this..

so all i need is more research it.. all i see is not enought information.. only video.. oh well

but to think of this... if you.. yourself give a cat a bath.. what will happen? you're gonna get all scratched up.. with scratch fever or infection from a cat bite. it doesn't sound like fun for cats to be in the machine but it sure saves trouble for humans.

like for instance, like most toddlers and young kids don't like taking baths but they're forced to.

i honestly don't see anything wrong with it.

okay so, you are talking to me too.

see how many cats I have...? (pictures of less 'pathetic-looking' cats taken last year and bathe every six months) ..
they also had all their claws (206 total) clipped biweekly too.

and you may as well see my flesh (arm) in there a couple of times.. any scratch? and ever since? never. ever. it's HOW people treat those animals .. being forced.. controlled.. torture them.. without able to communicate that water is okay.. you gotta spend a lot time and patience with them and go slow...key. key. (tsk tsk - toddlers is a different story, totally.) but of course, those who invented that stupid bathing machines will be scratched.

and not to mention, what's next? they'll probably invent this new machine, clipping machine that clips cats-who-hate to have their claws clipped and would accidentally chop off one of their leggies in there. :ugh: :dunno:

DO IT HUMANELY. this is not humanity, inhumanity is wrong. don't speak before you know anything please.

This is lame. Those people are simply lazy. This machine doesn't scrub pets, so how is this waste-of-your money scheme useful? I think this is a ridiculous machine to laugh at your pets.

Cats can be bathed with patience. I think it's important to not hold them while bathing them because that will make them cling at you. My cousin had the meanest cat who liked to claw at anyone if disturbed and for no reason, but she could bath her and the cat loved it. Her claws were never clipped.

It's so lame. Why do pets have to be objects and put in a machine like clothes?

What's next? Machine to bath children? This is a waste.

Looking at the other stories, the one on the Seattle Seahawks being with animals that would have otherwise been destroyed was a better story, although I didn't have the sound turned on.

I agree, ClearSky, that this story was only for laughing fodder for the pet guardians and I wasn't amused by the cat trying to get out. I've also never seen a cat pant before, so one can presume that this was a very traumatic experience for them. If a person wants to bathe their cat, catch the cat when he or she is still a kitten and not very old. In turn, as they get older, they will get used to having baths. However, cats are always cleaning themselves, so really, why should they have a bath with chemicals, when the chemicals in their saliva does the job the way they want it? Dogs are a different story and Snickers doesn't mind standing close to the edge so the water will fall on me so my shoes and some of my own clothing gets wet!

I agree...my son screams and wails while taking either a bath or a shower but he has to be forced into to it.

Yea, my thoughts exactly when I was watching it...saves people from getting all scratched up from trying to give cats a bath.

Cats are notorious for hating water.

Let u know that JeepGirl is a vet so she has intensive knowledge about pets.

Respectfully disagreed.

"Cats vs Children" in bath machine is not same as in bath tub. Because, usually, kitties are not panting when owners bathe them in a bath tub. If you think there is nothing wrong with it, then WHY were those poor kitties (in video clip from that link) just panted restlessly after they finished the bathe machine? Appearntly, that's not a good sign.

Comment on the Bathe Machine

Well, I'm so glad to hear the creator was angry about the way cats were bathed, I can't imagine sedating cats in a situation where the water is coming down that is looks hard to breathe would be a good idea.

Watching the panting is really bothered me, honestly. They were in a stressful situation, the owners douse them with the water and then heat stress them? What about more sensitive or older cats? Granted it IS a short period of time, so using this on cats is an awful idea.

Just thoughts...

I have to agree with other, it was very cruel for the cats. I never bath my cat myself, I mean EVER! She is doing fine, even doesn't smell. My cat is very smart cat and she bath herself as she take her responsibilities, so I don't need a bath machine nor bathing her in my tub.
