Don't worry about German language but you can see the 17 pictures... If you want to large the picture then click the picture. It look like Spa, not prison...

:eek3:

It look like that monster, we talked about at Reba's thread http://www.alldeaf.com/strange-stupid-news/51734-father-held-daughter-cellar-24-years.html , may live at luxury life in that jail... ??? :hmm:

Looks just like my work!! It's minium security, right? B/C I can see our own prisoners busting the glass!!

mmm maybe they think if they make it fun and pretty for the people there..they wont want to leave?

That's luxury?

I think people are confusing clean and well lit with luxury.

Though the game table and televisions are indeed a plus.

Maybe it's just for white-collar criminals.....?

it's a psychological factor that certain environment can increase or reduce violent behavior. which is why I heard this prison in USA started painting their walls pink and the study shows that it did reduce the # of violent cases. "Prison-like" prison gives stress and causes aggressiveness for prisoners so... :dunno2:

I was thinking the same thing.
The way a prison looks doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how it operates, but a good clean environment is over all beneficial. Not only for the prisoners but the guards who work there.

You think the guards like to spend their day in some smelly, grungy place, with rusty bars and dirty concrete walls, in addition to the people roaming around who will slice your neck open as soon as look at you?

I think not.

But on the other hand, just because it looks nice doesn't mean it's a five star hotel, either.

Maybe not a 5-star hotel, but this is a luxury prison compared to many (MOST!) others.

Too easy life afterall for what they have done to people and the laws. I don't think if, the criminals should have a luxury prison comparing to what they did to grieve the families for their own losses....

That's so wrong.

I guess I'll do the 1st-class rob in Austria enough to stay in there for long time. If food is good. :D

I think people's misunderstanding that this prison is for all - including violent criminals, rapists, etc. I think this is probably used for rehabilitation purpose - juvies, drug addicts, etc. because I think rehabilitating them is cheaper than imprisoning repeated offenders + life sentence in long term.

It's gotta be for white collar criminals because there is no way a freaking murderer would be assigned to the nice window filled prison, just no way, man. We really need to bring the dungeons back for those murderers.

Yes, that´s right.

Clean and well care prison including well-trained staffs could reduce prisoner´s aggressive/violence behaviour. Bright and friendly color including atmosphere also could boost prisoner´s self-esteem. It would helps prisoner to positive their life when they are out of prison.
