CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. - Jack Allen Falkner is one lucky baby.

The son of Dan and Leslie Falkner was born July 7, 2007, considered by many the luckiest day of the century.

But Jack's luck didn't stop there. The infant weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

The number seven is considered lucky by gamblers, numerologists and the slew of couples who chose Saturday as their wedding date. If the string of sevens in that date makes for auspicious associations, the extra digits in his weight could bode that much better for the infant.

"He's doing very well," said his father, a diesel technician at Eau Claire Machine and Volvo.

Jack's 3-year-old sister, Allison, also gave her nod of approval.

"She thinks he's pretty cute and pretty neat," Dan Falkner said.

Another one!!! :eek3:

St. Augustine Newborn Hits Birthday Jackpot - Local/Florida News Story - WJXT Jacksonville

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Last Saturday, the calendar marked a date that won't be seen again for another 100 years -- 7/7/07.

While many took the occasion to get married, some were welcoming new family members in another way.

A St. Johns County couple said they are counting their blessings after their son, Joshua Beckman, was born on the special day at 7:07 a.m.

"My due date was the eight but nothing was progressing, so my doctor decided to induce. We didn't know how long it would take and it just so happened that it happened that way," said Dana Beckman.

Seven got its origins as a lucky number from the Bible. Coincidentally, the Beckmans said they chose Joshua's name from the Bible as well.

Another coincident, in the story of Joshua the number seven comes up several times.

"If you read about the battle of Jericho, there's five sevens to do with that. They walked around the wall seven times. On the seventh day they blew seven trumpets seven times and there were seven priests. So, there are five sevens," Beckman said.

"It's a pretty neat thing that happened. I'm sure we'll tell him about it when he gets old enough. Wait until he's 7," said Joshua's father James Beckman.
