Hey, any LOST fans out there? Anyone willing to provide a transcript of the ASL for this 38 second video? YouTube - The Chocolate Factory

If you are a LOST fan and are following "The Experience" then you know what this is about. If you are curious, you can read about it on thefuselage.com
forums.

Basically, "The Experience" is a web-based story or ARG (alternate reality game) the producers of LOST are running this summer to entertain fans and give us a little more back-story about the show.

A part of this game going on now involves gathering codes on symbols called "glyphs." There is a Glyph symbol on a t-shirt in this video on YouTube:

It is far too small to read, and the signs are so fast and blurry that I cannot hope to read them, although I tried and think he may be saying RACHEL, and possibly APOLLOCANDY among other things in the first 10 seconds.

If someone here skilled in ASL has the patience to help out and provide a letter by letter transcript of the 38 second video, that would be much appreciated.

Please note that if he gives a "code" (tells what is written on the glyph), that it may be a nonsense pattern, something like M3GWBL (or whatever), rather than a recognizable word. It is this "code" we are after.

It is also possible that he is giving us directions or a hint as to where to look to find a readable version of the glyph symbol on his t-shirt.

Please post here or send me a PM on this forum!

Thank you!

I cant really see the signs well enough, and im a little too lazy to try but i got friend of rachel...and then i quit watching.

sorry.

Thanks for taking a look... I hope the slower version will be easier to read, so someone can translate it for me. It's still pretty small and a bit blurry.

Its not that its fast, its just small and blurry and his hand is sort of facing inward. It doesnt look like a lot of signs its mostly fingerspelling from what i saw of it.

Yes, it is a lot of fingerspelling. I think maybe whoever made this video meant for it to be larger and of better quality - and it got worse when it was posted to YouTube.

Are you deaf or did you just come here in hopes of someone here being able to translate?

It could be made out until he moves his hand over the t-shirt and its just totally unreadable when he moves his hand over the white part of the t-shirt.

I am not deaf, I was just hoping for help in translating the video from some ASL speakers. I appreciate the help.

And at least I got to learn a little sign language! I knew a few signs when I was a kid, but was never very good at understanding it when someone else was signing.

That is the problem, I couldn't be able to read it when his hand moved across the white part on his t-shirt and the spelling was BAD which I'm sure you've seen of.

Agreed, the spelling was horrible, who ever they got to do sign did a horrible job.

Well it was very nice of you both to help with this. It is part of a larger puzzle/game we are involved in. If you are interested, look for QuinceTheCarpenter (that's me) over in The Experience section of the Fuselage. ;)
