Lost bunny

Awww I bet ya miss that cute friendly rabbit. Maybe you can get one of your own?
Rabbits are cute! I don't know if I wanted one LOL! My dog is having her puppies sometimes this week, and may keep one.

The bunny's family came for him today. I'm happy for them, but sad for me and my family. We enjoyed having him around.

The grandpa saw our sign and called us. He told us the bunny's name is Thumper, and belongs to his grandkids. So, they came and picked him up.

I'll miss him. :(

This time we found a white mouse in the front yard. We caught it, keeping it in a large bucket, and feeding it gourmet bird seed. I posted a "found" notice in our subdivision forum but I don't think many people look at it. We will probably post a few signs around the neighborhood.

Oh wow... So many animals running around your neighborhood.

Hope you find the owner.

That's really great you keep rescuing the lost pets!

I agree with Bott. The lost furry souls are lucky to make your way into your yard:)

We had a fox in our yard this morning, but nothing I could do about it. I'm sure it is wild. We keep getting them in our yard; this was the first time to see a grey fox. Every other time thus far have been red foxes.

we also have red foxes around here and I've seen several coyotes over the last year or so. One was in the neighbor's yard <who ironically, quite literally hates dogs -and has told us that> and another one was sitting and then walking in a yard a few blocks from my house - different coyotes - size and gait difference in each animal.

My folks-in-law have coyotes all the time on their land. They own 20 acres, so they get lots of wildies :) Bears, a few times too. They have a beautiful kitten who is deaf, so they keep him IN THE HOUSE. He would never hear the wildies sneaking up on him. A couple times he escaped with the dogs, so we would go over to help search for him before dark. They have a horse barn and 2 feral cats used to take up residence in there, (we were able to trap them and get them spayed/neutered and brought them back to the barn) but over the years both have disappeared. I don't know if they found new homes, died of old age, or died at the hands of the coyotes and bears. :(

bears!
I know WI had black bears but I never seen one yet.
my dad is very fascinated with Grizzly bears

No one has claimed the mouse yet, and we can't find a rodent rescue group to take it. I don't know what we're going to do. I don't want to set it loose because it seems to be tame. I don't want to keep it either.

Reba, some shelters do take in rodents and other "pocket pets". The one I volunteer with has a ton of bunnies and a few rats at the moment.
also you could try wildlife rehab even though he may not technically be "wild" - many times people there will foster a small critter or know someone who would take in a mouse, just because of the connections people make in the pet rescue and rehab worlds.
