Scammer FAIL!
 
I'll bet some of those scammers in the instant messengers are BOTS rather than an actual human... just from reading candy's convo... it seems like it was a bot. but hey what do i know! I've never experienced scams on IMs. Maybe it's cause I don't post my IM names online anywhere really, and sometimes I change the screen names too often. But I do definitely get scam in emails, but they're deleted right away. scams, what a waste of time and space!

I'm so impressed at the subtlety.
 
If you want protect your computer, here is the rule of thumb... NEVER I mean NEVER respond to any AIM messaging from stranger. Generally when a hackers or trojan virus writer wants to gain access your computer, they use AIM as back door. Once you respond, BAM! they got in your system. Especially when it comes to Trojan virus the attacker would just simply download and execute a virus onto your computer. these trojan virus would then send back any information back to the source, where they stole any information you have, even password for anything.

So, again NEVER NEVER NEVER respond to any instant message, E mail, etc from unknown sources.

When you mention that their conversation is being recording, trust me, they will laugh because it means nothing to them.
