When I was growing up in Flora, IL, there were two:

This is Charlie Brown Park, which is HUGE. This area has some good fishing spots, and it's also where the fireworks happen every year. They put on quite a good show every year, but I haven't been to one since 2002, though.

This here is Kwanis Park, where there's a rocket kids could play in, which was totally awesome. Loved that park growing up. They have a suspension bridge connected to that rocket, too. Used to scare the s*** out of me.

It does, doesn't it? Those were fun times. When the wind whipped up, and I was on that suspension bridge, oh boy-- it got hard to get off. Not fun when that happened.

Nope, just the annual county fair when it rolled thru for a couple days.....

I forgot about Great America! Used to go there quite a bit when I was a teenager! Fun place!

The one up by Gurnee Mills? That one? Speaking of which...... Gurnee Mills is a place I'd love to visit again. HUGE place, that is.

It's in San Francisco 6 flag Great America.

Gurnee, Illinois yes. Not Gurnee Mills. It opened on May 29, 1976.

I know. I'm saying that Six Flags Gurnee is close to Gurnee Mills, which, by the way, looks younger than Six Flags. I'm trying to find a good photo to post here for that (And Woodfield Mall, too).

I am an Army brat so I don't count them, but my husband's is the Las Vegas strip.

Gurnee Mills Mall. I spotted an aerial photo of the IL Six Flags, and that's up next.

This place is HUGE, but Woodfield is way bigger.

Six Flags Gurnee. Since I was last here, they've added water parks to the place. It's bigger than this now.
