Have anyone replace CFL or incandescent with LED?

For me, I did recently - replaced all 60 watts incandescent bulbs with 10 watts LED bulbs (same lumens as 60 watts replacement) and replaced 100 watts bulb with 22 watts LED bulb (same lumens as 100 watts) in my room.

I dislike CFL due to mercury and uncomfortable with extreme brightness (white/blue) that gave me a headache.

I'm happy with result from LED bulbs.

Smart move! I'm going to do this. Will save thousands of dollars in a lifetime.

I'm going to ask people to buy them as an xmas present. Totally win situation!

Yes, 60 watts and 40 watts incandescent bulbs will phase out in next year but 100 watts and 75 watts already phased out.

My first CFL bulb was in 1993 and it was $20 because I used light all night so my parent didn't want to spend much on electricity bill for burn 60 watts all night, but I hated it because of VERY BRIGHT (pure white).

One thing i noticed where i live is they have started replacing stop light bulbs with leds but they give off no heat so in the winter they get snowy.

Yes, LED saves electric bills and lasts longer but LED itself costs alot of money. I used to have X-mas yard lights in which it was about 75% LED lights that were not cheap. I have LED lights in my car interior (dome lights), nice blue lights which I bought about $2.50 each. I love LED because it produces true colors. There are LED lights for reef (live coral) tank set-ups but they are very expensive. I even have several LED flashlights which are very compact.

I will check into LEDs. In our house, when the contractor finished, he advised me to go with "daylight" CFLs and that's what in almost all of the lights.

All I use is the mini CFL DAYLIGHTS... the others bug me with the off orangish color. My electric bill at the house with lights running 24/7 for security is $20 a month.

I really like LED blub. I can't find dimmable 13w (60-150W) table lamp like 3-way bulb. Do anybody know about new dimmable table lamp for led bulb only?

I have only one bulb to try out. I like it. It's perfect for deaf signaler to make it flash-able. CLF doesn't.

Yes, CLF Flash on Sonic Alert receiver won't work when lamp turn on. \Work when lamp turn off. Suck CFL.

I have LED for outside only and works great. CFL is pretty SHORT life quick (1 year) at outside due weather change a lot like -10F to 105F. I don't want to waste money to replace whole CFL with LED yet. Most CFL are only 17 watts which not bad and last around 6 years.

I have over 10 flashlights with LEDs. Two for work, eight for home (someone gifted us, sometime I bought something and come with free led flashlight, etc.

It's called daylight (6500K) which we don't like that. We use bright white (4100k).

I suggest you go to Lowes or home depot.

You can see between bright white, soft white, and daylight. Almost everyone hate daylight as living room, bedroom, and bathroom.

Daylight is good for office only.

Oh, I have remembered about new Spark bulb socket. I had pre-ordered it by kickstarter. They may be available around July 2013.

i like this, an instand deaf-freindly alarm clock for my room and the lights on before i enter house incase... flippin good, tell you what, I've never bought any 'deaf assistence' electronics since I disliked these muchly since they are hineously expensive and looks too much like its designed for hospitals it makes me sick. Im not gonna let those cheeky hearies to make quick bucks of us on simple electronics. Screw them!..
I absolutely welcome the idea of Spark devices, its true independence.
