LeBron James' New Team

I don't think it's discrimination necessarily. If people were to wear his new Miami jersey to the baseball game, other fans wouldn't like it and I'm sure it would be a distraction from the baseball game. So just like in the video, the other fans got all mad and it would lead to interruptions. So for one, it's not fair to the baseball players having to pause while they deal with the situation. Two, with all the beer and stuff at games, it'll probably end up with a violent confrontation.

but still, the city has a fresh and sour taste about James leaving and some people are way too passionate about their teams.

if it's not that big of a deal, you should go wear a Miami Heat jersey to a Cleveland baseball game and see how that goes.

I personally, don't really care what people wear. However, I can understand the reasoning in not allowing something distracting to the games.

Sorry to say but Lakers are going for the Three peat! Let's go Lakers!

From newsnet5.com:

A billboard says "Welcome Home LeBron," but there is a big red 'X' over home. The second line poses a question: "How does it feel to be a sidekick?," a reference to James' decision to join Dwayne Wade on the Miami Heat. Sidekick is underlined in red. The message then ends with "Go Cleveland!" in gold letters.
The Omada Group, a marketing company in Akron, paid $3,000 for the billboard, which is on Route 18 eastbound between I-71 and I-77, about two miles from James' estate in Bath. The company paid about $3,000 for the billboard, which will be up for about a month.

Matthew Palumbo, one of the principals at the Omada Group, said he hopes the billboard sparks a grassroots campaign to let James know exactly where he stands in his home state since his decision to leave.
:laugh2:

Nobody will care about this idiot billboard. What a waste of $3,000.
People might start caring about it if Cleveland manage to win a championship before Miami does but that doesn't matter either way. They'll have to face Boston/Orlando in the play-offs and don't forget about the back-to-back Lakers team.

That video is simply TOO funny. It shows how much emotion people can have invested in a person or team. I am definately one to joke with and tease fans of an opposing team sitting next to me at Energy Solutions Arena (Utah Jazz), but THAT kind of reaction? woah- overkill. I think the fan wearing the Lebron Miami jersey was loving all that attention he was getting and seemed like he couldn't get enough of it. On the other hand his woman must have taken something a fan said a little too personally to result to physical violene and flipping off everyone.
I want ID to come watch a Jazz game and sit next to me and receive constant unending crap at him for cheering the Lakers.......ah......satisfaction :D I won't spill your beer on you though

I'm a clevelander and I think these fan's took it way out of context! This guy did not deserve to be berated while attending a Indians game. And then being escorted out of the game because of it. I thought we had freedom of expression. I think its wrong that he was taken away by the police for wearing a jersey.I understand it is probably for his safety. But his safety should never have been in jeopardy for wearing a article of clothing!

The Bulls' 72-10 record, I think, is very tough feat for any great team to beat. It still stood for fifteen years and beside that it's rare for any great team to win 70+ games a season (yet few did quite close tough).

His words: "They have put together a much better roster than anybody could ever have expected,'' Van Gundy added. ``There is now no good way to defend them. They are unguardable. They are indefensible. They are just too good and have added so much shooting and are so versatile that they will score at will."

I agree with him that it's very tough for any team to compete against the Heat team. Not only because of their (big 3's) offense powers, but they are also great defense players plus their considerably solid roster as well.

It should be blast for the NBA fans to watch them playing together and see as if Celtics, Lakers, and Magic could compete with them or not.
