Last Navajo Code Talker of WWII Dies

Rest In Peace, Chester Nez. May you walk into the long journey to the Spirit World and meet his families including his Code Talker friends. Life was not easy on the long road in his real life. But he managed to survive that long before he walk on. Respect and honor him. :(

Amazing men that served during this time. There should be more effort to preserve the beautiful Native American languages and the culture. Despite their years in uniform, it's disgraceful this country does so little for Native Americans.

Truly a humble hero who, with his fellow Code Talkers, served with honor, and were ready to serve their country and fellow Marines without any desire for glory. I'm grateful for their work.

To Chester Nez,

I watched a doccumentary on the code talkers, it was really amazing what they went through.

There is a movie that is about Navajo Code Talker and the action in WWII.

Much respect to Navajo Code Talkers... they did serve our country and Japanese never cracked the code and helped Allies win the war in the Pacific.

It is the history that count. Well, Duh! What do you expect when there were no Navajos in the movie. It is the talent and the experience of being an actor. Someday, Navajo men or women will become skill in acting. Adam and some of the Native actors can do well in the movie portraying as Navajos. They respect and honor them so that need to be told about the Windtalkers (Code Talkers).

That will explain and teach the people who watched the movie about their culture and the reason why they need to make the Navajo codes.

The Navajos were not allowed to shared their Navajo codes with anyone, even in the military. They are to be kept to themselves with no one to know about the codes, not even families. But in the movie, it was shown what they spoke some of the Navajo codes while speaking on the radio sending the messages. Just a few codes. Chester Nez remembered the codes from the movie.

I grew up watching movie about Native American and there always some white actors and I felt it would been nice if there where some Native Americans in the movie. Some years ago we had a Pow Wow dance here and I was talking to a Native American about it and he was upset that some white men pretended to Native American and have people pay to see it.
