Last Movie You Watched?

Just finished watching First season of True Blood.... I love it! I'm hooked on to it! Now All I need to do is order second season of True Blood through NetFlix.

- Grace (Thriller/Horror)
- Subconscious Cruelty (Canadian exploitation/Art House)
- How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (Romantic comedy)
- Grotesque (Asiatic torture-porn)

I hated it because they already learned the alien language. The aliens only wanted to build a part for their ship and leave.

There was no reason to put them in ghettos and mistreat them. All conflict was unnecessary .

Just wait until they built their ship part and then the planet would revert to their norm.

***SPOILER***

They didn't learn the language right off the bat. You have to remember, the movie takes place 20 years after the aliens first arrive. Also, the company charged with dealing with the aliens (MNU) has employees trained for just that task which easily explains why their employees would be able to understand the alien language.

The reason for them being put in the ghetto was because the S. African (this setting purposefully being chosen for the country's history of apartheid) gov't couldn't think of anything better to do with them.

The alien, Christopher, was working in secret those long 20 years to create that fluid that would be used to power the shuttle and then the mothership so they could leave. Wikus' transformation provided an opportunity for MNU to finally develop a way for humans to use the alien weaponry which would result in millions, if not billions, of dollars in arms contracts All the conflict was motivated by regular human greed, plain and simple.

District 9 was a movie on the human condition and Peter Jackson did a kickass job!

I watched The Last House at the Left (I think it is correct).

I think it is so great! But I feel disappoint that a revenge is in there. It should show a good impression without any revenge. Just an opinion here.

I just watched "Inglourious Basterds." I'm not much into Terentino movies, but this movie was quite funny. More importantly, I saw the trailer for this movie named "Avatar." All I have to say is WOW. That movie looks amazing. I can't wait. I comes out in December.

The last movie I watched was Sister Act. :giggle: Shut up! :P
It was on PeachTree TV (a Georgia station that is on cable here) and I had seen it before and liked it. :P

I just finished watching The Godfather III with my dad. I saw the first and second a few weeks ago. Good movie. :)

Deerhunter

Deerhunter is an old movie, but I never saw it until last year. Great movie! :)

Last movie I saw was Låt den rätte komma in, which is a Swedish vampire movie. I am not really into vampire stuff, but this movie was really good.

cool, i shall check that out, to me one of the best vampires film ive even seen was 'interview with a vampire' kirsten dunst was in it with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. it rocked, i really like the story spanning over several hundreds of years it was like a real trip into a vampire's memory - fantastic

Last House IS a 'revenge' film or more specifically a remake of Wes Craven's original exploitation film.

Removing the revenge or torturing would be like taking out all the kung fu from Drunken Master. ;-p
