Ladies Only:Anyone with PMDD?

Before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1998 I used to get joint pains all over my body from time to time, being depressed, and some other side effects I had with hypothyroidism, but with period and pms, forget it! It triggered my depression so bad. It wasn't a very fond memory I'll tell you. After getting my thyroid level straightened out (with medication ofc) I felt better. I don't feel as bad as I used to. I just get occassional pms now. I eat chocolate and sleep heh! Okay, I admit just a few times a year I'd bite someone's head off. :D

ugh Katzie -- yea topped off with hypothyroidism is a pain! seems to have stabilized for now for me but damn u never know what might happen later that might need more adjustments *smh*

Flyfree, I didn't know you have the same problem as I have. We certainly relate so well. :|

I hear you, Meg and Sabrina, I will make an appt to get a pap test done...and I do know how important it is... ;)

@ Meg, Oh really? I didn't know you got your tube tied too, I suppose the doctor forgot to let you know once you had it done....Since my doctor told me it would only last for a year or two depending on each woman, but it hasn't last yet, still getting the worse painful cramps I ever experience...urrggg!!

* Forgive me for a few mispelling on my first post, I'm glad I didn't confused anyone ;) *...

Meg,

I'm not diagnosed, but it's possible that I might have PMDD. I don't have many physical symptoms of PMS, but I always get really depressed right before my time of the month. Usually, two weeks before my cycle begins, I'll start to feel my mood crash. And, I get more and more depressed and irritable as the time gets nearer. It finally subsides when my new cycle begins, say, three or four days in.

I just live with it, but the older I get, the worse it seems to be getting. Before anybody says anything, I KNOW I should see my doctor, but blech! LOL So, yeah.... I will when I can no longer stand myself or those around me can't stand me, I'll do something about it. lol

But, I hear you...The constant moodiness is really difficult to live with!

Same here, Oceanbreeze so will see my doctor on the 27th and get meds!! I thought I could beat this on my own but I have damaged too many relationships or friendships cos of my insanity during 2 weeks of each month. They don't know who the real Meg is so I will get on meds that will restore my sanity :)

Angel, I didnt know that if you get tubes tied, you will get worse cramps. No wonder I got so bad cramps since that ..that explains it.

Pap smears are IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it sucks going to the *pussydoctor* but a few minutes of discomfort is worth a peace of mind and good health!!!

I used to be a breast & cervical cancer educator/analyst so I often had to convince many women to go get pap smears and mammograms. But I keep emphasizing that a few mins of discomfort is NOTHING compared to months or even years of agony going through chemotherapy or even losing a breast or cervix.

Yes that is true. Women who have their tubes tied with extremely cramps. When you become older that it gets worse every year. This week, I had horrible heavier flow and not able to do anything around the housework or do work two jobs. I could not even wake up in the morning. My eyes were draining and no engery at all. I jumped in the shower to keep my eyes opening. I can't afford to miss my two jobs. I already missed two jobs yesterday. I had dizzy and headache. I feel like a shitty.

I got four days earlier period lately. At least five days is not too bad for me instead of 7 days. I just want to sleep under my desk with pillow. I can't sleep. Damn it !! I have so much project to do due to end of FY04 budget.

Men are afraid of women to be near them when the women have their period. We turn into the monster as BITCH !!

My kids know when I have my period. Hey Mom, obviously you have your period. No wonder, you are horrible nagging us. You are bitch Mom ! :|

Ooops hugging them.. sorry... Why did not you do the dishes, etc...

LOL, you women! I don't have PMDD. I do bitch a lot and get furious and angry a day or two before. My mom's like "What's up with you? Are you on your period?" LOL, but I don't bitch while on my period.

I know when mom's coming with her period, too. Her PMS are worse every month, but I don't think she has PMDD. It's just that hers are worse. She did mention that it becomes worse as she gets older, so that's normal. I do want to mention that exercising and eating right helps alleviate those symptoms. Tell someone to take you for walks if they tell you to stop it LOL.

I crave things and I bitch :D.

True my mom had cervix cancer when I was a baby. She never had a pap smear till doctor told her she needs to have pap smear. Good thing it saved her life.

Umm I used to have problem with my bad pms for many years till few years ago. For long time after had my first child, my breast had been leaking for many years. This stupid doctor told me, my husband had been playing around with them which caused leaking. After had second child, it did not stop and I ingored it for many years. It led to mood swing and bad pms for many years. Poor my husband. Anyway my menses stopped although and went to see my gyn dr about it and found out that I have a big screw up hormones. Proclation hormone was too high. All the time my body thought I was pregnant or breastfeeding. So I am taking medicine to control it and my mood swing and pms come to onlly two or three days before my menses. Whew I thought I went thru early menopause when my menses stopped. Now I am on medicine and my menses came back and did not want to get uterus cancer from lack of menses and screw up hormones.

I'm inclined to agree that pussy doctors are not my favorite either. Anyone who would spend hours and hours with their noses up someone's eject button (for a living, too) is severely disturbed. Not to mention incredibly embarrassing and discomforting for the patient. I mean, think about it...you don't know anything about this fella, yet, he's about to stick his hands up your....crevices.

Anyone want to ask me about the time I kicked my pussy examiner in the head?
