Hideo Kojima, the acclaimed creator behind the Metal Gear Solid saga, who will bring in another solid snake adventure onto the Playstation 3 next year.

the 1up.com crew had an interview with Kojima about the techogoly between the xbox360 and playstation 3 and say there's really no difference between them though it's techically possible that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be a port to the Xbox360...as if he wants that to happen, though.

as with the PC, it's as powerful as Xbox360 and PS3 but claims that the Revloution is completely different. (you hear that, Nintendo fanboys?! sounds like Revloution gonna suck in the next gen war lol)

so, I just REALLY hope and I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that MGS4 would make it as a port to Xbox360 someday.

Anyway, here's the full report:

dont twist words my boy,

he said that

"but there are really no differences among the other three."

and oh its about as likely as seeing gran turimiso on revolution as it seeing MGS on xbox

Steel, just buy a PS3 and MGS4 with it. Also, Kojima says Revolution is completely different. He did not say inferior. If MGS4 has a lot of connectivity with MGA2 (PSP), then a 360 port would be unlikely. What I'd expect for a MGS game on 360 is a game desgined for online LIVE play, like MGS3: Subsistence. It'd be MGS4 with extras, but of course that would be released on the PS3. Remeber MGS2: Substance? Heh.

I usually prefer games on the system they were originally designed for. It's like Grand Theft Auto. It was originally created for the Playstation 2, so I get that version. Same goes for Metal Gear Solid. :)

I have to agree. Metal Gear Solid is best on the PS. Twin Snakes (the remake for GameCube) was prettier, yes, but not as smooth as the original. I prefer that games not go multiplatform at all, but oh well, cannot stop giants like EA who multi-mtlti platform their games.

I think when the PS3 is first released, the games will not look that much better than 360's, but when games like MGS4 come out..
Plus, Sony's Cell processors are some nasty beasts. 2 years from now, PS3 will be the evident superior. I predict that Bill Gates will either make another XBOX, or wave a white flag and quit the console business.

lol with a mulit billion dollar company like Microsoft, it's proably going to be sony's worst nightmare ever. :D

Well, I'm thinking of getting me a Playstation 3 since it will still play PS2 games, and not only that, but like with Xbox360 playing Xbox classics like Halo, with better resloution of graphics, textures, and even faster loading times, etc.

so, even with games like Metal Gear Solid 2...would proably looks 20% better on the PS3! :D

I think I'll try to pre-order the PS3 when it comes after I ask them if I can trade in my old PS2 for the PS3 at launch as well. ;)

P.S. would have to get me a PS3 in case if MGS4 would never make it as a port to xbox360. *shrugs*

The best reason to get a PS3 is not the games, but the fact that it will also support HD-DVD. I suspect the HD format will take off like the DVD format did when the PS2 first came out.

maybe. who knows...

in other words, the PS3 will have a revloutionary mulitplayer in games like sports...

you can use seven (yes, seven!) controllers on one console with games that allows 7 people to play such as sports games, etc.

While Xbox360 would still support 4 players and more than 4 players online...and Revloution...or is it REALLY a revloution? will still use 4 player ports as the Nintendo 64 and GameCube have.

But why 7? 6 would be sufficent, as 3 on 3 matches would work. unless.. Sony is thinking of 2 PS3's togother for a 7 on 7 fragfest. Why 7? Lucky number? I really don't get why 7. Maybe in Madden 07, 3 on 3 with one player being the refree. :D When's PS3 expected to launch? This summer?

Sony in Japan said the PS3 is expected to be released in spring 2006 while the American release is still unknown, but many game companies thinks it will be expected to hit America around the holiday season of 2006, much like the Xbox360 did.

(comin around next summer would be a good idea so that way it would help me save money when the next holiday season comes so helps me saves tons of money to buy gifts earlier than expected.)

Um... that would be Blu-Ray. Not HD-DVD, they are two different disc formats. Playstation 3 is using the Blu-Ray technology... but that's only because Sony owns the Blu-Ray technology.

Riiiight. Pioneer and another company is doing HD-DVD, right?
That is another reason PS3 games will be better looking down the road than 360 games, because it will be on a bigger and better format (Blu-Ray).

Are you familiar with the BETA vs. VHS war?

It's looking like it with the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. There's a lot of supporters on both sides.

I'd put my money on Blu-Ray, just because a lot of people will have a PS3 for games and at the same time, BluRay discs. HD-DVD players would be standalone, unline the PS3 which will play games and movies...

I'm wondering if anyone else hears the word on the PS3's final price so maybe I would run up to EB games and pre-order it...but last I heard about the PS3's price is that Sony has copied the idea from Microsoft selling two console versions...one with a HDD, and one without a HDD for $299 or $399, etc...so I hope by the time I pre-order it and that it comes around spring or so, I should get me one with a HDD.

I didnt have time to save money for the xbox360 with HDD so I just want to get one game an memory unit and extra controller, etc...but with PS3, I just hope I get as much as I need.

...and also, there still isn't any word on if the PS3 would have memory slots so that it allows me to use the PS2 memory card on the PS3 to save and load PS2 games on the PS3...others say it only have memory sticks slots, which proably means that you can play the UMDs on the PS3 instead playing them on the PSP...so who knows?
